A classic example of “human as furniture”—Les is both a heated cat bed and a cat tree!

We have one more day in the week for this story. How many more cats will be sitting on Leslie on Saturday?

I hope Gunther never makes a Cat Woman costume for Bets! There may be serious attraction issues! :o(

Les is a cat person and doesn’t know it. Or does, but refuses to acknowledge it.

Gunther is a lefty! The mouse never lies.

So Irma knows that Punk was not returned to Pet Options! There was some concern expressed about that this past Sep-Oct!

First a week of sappy Valentines – now a week of cute kitties. When can we get a story?

Les’ new nickname should be Cat Daddy!

I think Les’s expression in panel 3 really let’s the cat out of the bag that there’s no more hiding his I-don’t-need-anyone aloofness.

Looks like Les’s prediction is going to come true…

I’m surprised Les is letting Punk sit on his hair.

Les has just gone from being a person to being a place.

Moe, the elderly cat, and Punk,the kitty, make a pair. With Leslie Knox, a threesome!

It seems like Les is a natural when it comes to cats.

As i said before, les wanted to be in a cathouse, this isn’t what he meant.

Just wait until Punk actually makes contact with Moe’s tale.

First of all, Punk was never returned to the adoption center – everyone was out looking for him when Les actually had him stashed away.

Second of all, he is back in Les’ hair…

Face it, Les. You’re a kitteh magnet. :)

My motto is life is too short to spend time around a grouch like Les. Also let us please have less of Les.

They need another cat. My sister had a hyperactive kitten who wanted to play all the time, so she got him a companion who was the same age and that solved the problem.

I love how despite complaining, Les continues to sit and let both cats climb all over him.

Ma is, for all intents and purposes, indistinguishable from Gunther. There’s something disturbing about that.

Looking at Irma’s cat’s girth, he or she needs to eat “Les” and exercise “Moe”.

Awwww….. Cats love Les ♡. And if Irma knows, it means that Al and her approve that Les has a cat ♡. This takes away the risk of Uncle Al forcing Les to separate from his beloved kitten. But I’m still curious about how Gunther would take it if Punk started to destroy his robes and costumes.

Not without Daddy… Good luck with that Leslie!

Hey Moe, whaddya know?! I had a feeling old Moe would show. This also should shut down those who have been claiming that Les stole Punk. I wonder how much people want to accuse him of things he has not done, alas, human nature I guess. TYGE!! HILARITY ENSUES!!!

And thus we find our true place in life. In this case it is a cat magnet, thus making him a place all cats can sleep and happily play…..

This may also be a way to show the reader that Les is really not a bad guy. Because the cats know.

Hmmm, interesting change in presentation. Les and Gunther seem to get along pretty well now. I’d be curious to GnK bring an arc in where one of the other characters were talking with Gunther about the Gulag and we got to see what Gunther has to say about Les; could be interesting. Especially since Gunther has a girlfriend and you have to think it would be Luann, Bernice, or Tiffany asking.

I wonder if people know that domestic cats are one of the primary causes of the near extinction of several species of songbirds? Such a cute little killer in your lap!

How can Gunther get his work done with all the distractions?

Lol! That’s great! Finally, a playmate for Punk and it looks as though they have their own kitty tower staked out! Moe is doing what Moe does best – sleep!

We’ve all had hyperactive kitties like Punk and we’ve all had old-timers like Moe who just want to huddle up near the fireplace and wouldn’t be caught dead outside in bad weather.

…and wear earrings or lipstick or something so we know you’re not Gunther’s long lost twin!!

I love today’s comic! So funny and cute. I’m not a cat person, but all this week has been funny.

Now Les gets to see the other extreme of cat-ness. Moe is of the classic style where he simply wants to sit and be petted all day.

Both extremes are great, but a bit more towards the midrange is ultimately the most enjoyable, IMO.

With Les’ hair style…. it seems Punk should easily slide off. :)

The kitten next door took an immediate liking to me. She’d come over, sit and purr in my lap, and rub up against me. This continued for several years. Once I took pictures of her. She appeared to know exactly what I was doing, jumped up on the hood of the car and posed for me like a runway model. I got some great pictures of her. She continued being my special friend for many more years. Then, one day, I saw her outside, and she snubbed me. When I talked to her and called her by name, she walked away. I left her alone, but she never wanted anything to do with me again. Can anyone explain this?

That’s why I prefer dogs. They are loyal and never forget you.

They always know which ones they have to win over.

This is actually pretty cute : )

FWIW – Amazon streaming has a tv series from Japan called “Samurai Cat” which tells of a samurai and a cat which has the same vibe as Leslie and Punk. Good show – totally worth watching!

Moe is a different breed.

Is this saying more about the reality of Les vs his made up exterior? Animals are supposed to have a sense about good and bad in people. They normally steer clear of the bad ones.

I really am enjoying this arc. For one, it shows Les in a bit of a different light, more of his softer side. And even though I’m more of a dog person, I do enjoy seeing the cats take charge. I usually get at least a chuckle every day, and that’s more than I can say for some of the more dramatic arcs. There’s so much drama and anger in the world right now, I’m perfectly fine with a nice, gentler tone.

Return (cats) to sender….

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,

Well—that went well.

Les has a very promising career as a Cat Toy.

Wait until he finds out someone spiked his Aftershave & Deodorant with Catnip Oil.

Leslie is being taught a lesson by Punk and Moe. Since I have no sympathy for Leslie Knox, and the cats are behaving as cats do, I say this is just fine.

And if Leslie actually learns anything from this lesson, so much the better….
