I find it hard to believe he is smart enough to do other peoples papers and they actually come back with passing grades .. or .. is a little knowledge highly profitable ? What’s to report, he was in on the cheat.
Riffin’ Without A Script continues in what feels like real time to the few remaining audience members
1-SONNY2: My little brother Sonny was right. This is a great gig. Now beat it Four Eyes before you get your blood all over that pretty little shirt.
2-SONNY3: Who knew that the failed Sonny Brothers Barbershop Quartet Minus One would find success as thespians? I SAID “THESPIANS”!.
3-JOE JACKSON SONNY SR: Those damn kids didn’t make me a dime trying to sing Jackson 5 songs ala Barbershop. Not this time. As long as this play continues to run, we’ll all be rolling in it. Oops. Better get back in character. “Yeah see, Yeah”.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: These avant garde plays are the only true art that exists these days!
Okay,we’ve definitely got a bad guy here.Although most of it is done electronically in these modern times,it’s funny and ironic that “the guy with the shaky hands” has a talent for forgery.(An ignored crime in this strip for quite a while).Nice facsimilie of the original in Panel 3.This guy can be tough to draw. And remember—-T.V. Wiggles was Shaky going the wrong way.
Catching up on the strip for the past week, this storyline could be promising, I think Joe & Mike are at their best when they reboot classic Gould villains. Presumably this “Shaky” is the one born to the Tremblys …… who named him after their cousin who had the same affliction (and, apparently, same inclination for a life of crime). it does seem a little needlessly confusing.
Someone wondered how Shakes would do in a gun battle. Well, in the forties, when he was alive, he often took target practice and was a crack shot, to the bewilderment of his minions.(Look it up) Now that he’s been dead for over 60 years, his aim may be a little off.

smells like a reboot to me. Mike wants a “Shaky” and this is how he is bringing him back – if not necessarily from the grave.

How boring. The most exciting thing is the changing shade of green shirt Alfalfa is wearing.
Wait!
I know!
It’s the angle of the sun that’s giving the effect of a different color.
Silly me!

With VT telling this story we should already know the ending

Odo’s (from Star Trek Deep Space 9) deep set eyes and slicked back hair always reminded me of Shaky.

Why does that nerdy kid need test answers?

He does your homework, and then beats you up and threatens to tell on you if you don’t pay him enough? That’s some seriously complicated extortion.
