My cat Caramel likes to sleep next to me, head on her pillow, and stroking my arm. The first time she did this, I realized she was mirroring me. It is very sweet.

Elvis does not wish to be cute! And he does not want a bedtime story, thank you!

SUNDAY FUNDAY TIME!

I had a cat who loved it under the covers. And her ‘sister’, who was terrified. Then there’s Lucy, who once saw a ‘tentpole’ under there (hem, hem) and whacked it one with her claws out…

Our Pepperpot, when it’s cold out, will snuggle onto me, and allow me to pull the doona over us both, completely covering him .. LOL!

Our oldest kitty (who turned 17 yesterday!) loves being a cave tabby. Our middle kitty is learning to like being a cave calico, though not with the same intensity or attention span as her older sister. Our still-a-kitten will rarely sleep on us, but has negative interest in spelunking. She is a patrol kitty, though, keeping the house safe at night.

Neither of ours will sleep under any covers but they do love to play the ‘making the bed game’ which frequently leaves one under one layer or other. Then the frantic scramble to find a way out ensues. Why I never have a smoothly made bed.

Elvis will never be allowed to forget this day.

The cuteness level is to infinity and beyond.

Elvis you can be dignified and cute.

I hope everyone is having a happy Sunday, despite the challenging circumstances we now find ourselves enduring, and that we are all still free of COVID19. Poor Elvis. From Lupin it’s expected. From Puck it’s bearable. From his Baby Girl it’s okay. But the Woman? Even She is giving into the silliness that surrounds the simple act of a cat finding a comfortable place to sleep. Oh, the felinity.

Today is Goof Off Day. Does that mean the goofs have the day off? That the goofs are having an off day? Or does it mean we should blow off responsibility for a day? (What do they think we are, politicians?!)

Or maybe it just means relax and have fun. So relax, have fun, and don’t panic. After all, most of you know where your towel is.

Note: It is not Goof Up Day (unless you are a politician, in which case every day is goof up day.)

OT: Greetings to shirins!

I still have a job and am still getting paid but the oldest boy will find out this afternoon if he will still be working. He works for H&R Block and, since the government extended the time to file and pay taxes, he will either be working even more months (good thing) or be out of a job to cut down on social contact (very bad thing) or somewhere in between.

DC likes to do this. Don’t get it as much from Smokey and Bandit; while they do like to a blanket thrown over them, their more likely to simply climb atop a blanket than try to snuggle under it on their own. But DC likes to make caves out of blankets so you just see his little black nose, if you see anything at all.

I was warned of a really overly cute but not laden with honey strip today. He was right, Georgia can have the most sweetest strip yet will have it at a level where it leaves a wonderful taste in your mind and it is not overdone. Good Job Georgia. My diabetes thanks you for not having so much sugar as other strips do.

I seem to be only one who is shocked – shocked – to see “poke their li’l head out”. The newsreaders know the cat in question is a “he”, so it should be “his”. I’m sure Elvis will protest when he sees the tape.

While Elvis sees himself as an adventuring pioneer visionary who, when presented with an opportunity, boldly and bravely set a new standard, the rest of the world sees only a sweet “see-pee mow mow.” And OT…My own sweet baboo Linus would shinny his way up under the covers from the floor, presenting only an indistinct lump that was especially hard to discern under the duvet. I cannot count the number of times I nearly set the laundry basket (or my own derriere) down on top of him!

OT …….So the NZ government has announced today that we are at alert level 3 for covid-19, which means the we cannot go to any social activity and some non-essential businesses will need to close and in 48 hours we will be at alert level 4, which means only essential services will be open and we all have to stay at home for at least 4 weeks.We have 102 confirmed cases and two are considered community transmission, the others have been travel related.Glad that my partner was organised, and I am trying to reduce my anxiety levels. I must say BCN certainly helps with that. Elbiff being cosy is so cute. Currently my monkeys are sleepy baby mow-mow’s.Stay safe everyone!
