Ahhhhh … finally … waited nearly two weeks for that sweet little snuggle … sure hope Bea gets to stay a little longer … Would love to see more “Three Tomcats and a Kitten” moments …
Is anyone else seeing ads in Spanish and Japanese and sometimes Russian and Arabic??? I don’t just see them here, they show on other sites also but just on my phone, not on the laptop.
Okay Puck, you need to stop going on about how cute and precious Beatrix and everything associated with her is. I mean, we’re all doing it too, but still.
Attention all paws: Cuteness levels continue to rise to unprecedented levels. Cat your sleeping quarters and nap until this crisis passes. Avoid showing your tummies if at all possible.
We put Mom in a care facility last Sunday. It was far past the time to act, everyone agreed, but Dad was the hardest to convince. They have been married 64 years. Mom really does not know anyone or anything anymore, the dementia is complete. Even with home healthcare, and living with us, the strain on my Father was too much to keep her home. Dad is fighting Multiple Myeloma and kidney disease.
Fortunately, Dad planned ahead and he has the money to put her in a home. After spending a month touring facilities (some would shock you at their condition) and seeing the cost I worry about what Marie and I would do in the same circumstance. I am working again, thank goodness, but we don’t have nearly the wherewithal that Dad had accumulated.
Sorry to be depressing, but a lot has been on my mind this week.
Promise the next post will be funny and irreverent.
OT: inquiring minds want to know: does the Easter Bunny have the equivalent of Santa’s elves?
I got an e-mail this morning asking if I was available to be … whatever that equivalent position is … when the Easter Bunny arrives at our local mall for his three-week residency on March 21. Of course I agreed to it; I just need to know what to call myself now.
I’m trying to start this thing it’s throw back Thursday where every Thursday you share one of your favorite old comic from bcn my one is June 9 30 2019
Today is Name Tag Day. I really like name tags—they make it nearly impossible to forget one’s name …
I’m also one of those people who never forgets a face. The name associated with it, however, tends to be ephemeral, and the ephemeris is no help except in the case of celestial bodies, which I always remember, anyway.
The three dogs were not in our room last night and we went to bed with just one cat. When we woke up this morning all 5 cats were on the bed and the dogs were on the rug at the side of the bed closest to the door. The cats then moved to their heating vents when the furnace kicked in and will move to any “sunspots” if any appear today. I do not begrudge them in one bit their hedonism because they are honest about it. I’d rather be in the middle of a pile of cats and/or dogs sleeping right now, TBH.
Message from Georgia on facebook: Update: I just made the hard decision not to attend Emerald City Comic Con next week. I’m so sorry. I was so looking forward to speaking on a panel and getting to see local readers, but right now there are so many unknowns and it doesn’t feel like a good idea. Everyone I work with has been incredibly understanding and sympathetic that it was a tough choice to make, and I’m very grateful for that.I’m so sorry again about not appearing at #ECCC2020 . I hope that in future years I will be able to attend and speak on a panel and greet readers!

The tiny cat bed tassels! Beatrix can wear herself out pouncing on and playing with them before crashing into a face down kitten snooze.

There are kitty treats
That have gone untouched
A pillow very small,
Thank you very much,
There are toys galore,
That no one has played (with),
Where’s our kitten friend?
Do not be dismayed!
…….
She’s asleep
Slumbers deep,
With the troubles of the day now long
Behind her,
Getting rest,
That is best,
With Elvis, her so beloved friend,
To mind her.
