On top of everything else, over time, spouses vary between having cold feet that they warm on your back and throwing all the covers off because they’re too hot. And the periodicity of those changes isn’t the same: My cycle’s apparently a couple of years + and spouse’s cycle is closer to 5 years. So there’s no way to figure out a permanent solution.

this may be why Ricky and Lucy slept in separate beds: no hogging the one set of covers in one bed

Get a spare blanket, just because you share the same bed doesn’t mean you have to share the same blanket.

When your bed is a simile of your life, you know you’re doing something right… metaphorically speaking.

I just buy blankets that are big enough! I own a ‘full’ sized bed but buy queen sized blankets!

The moral of this story? Buy a better blanket. Long and warm.

My wife takes the entire bed, not just the blankets. She complains that I am taking too much room…that 2" I get at the edge. She wants the entire bed as well as the blankets …and we have a KING size bed.

Get a blanket bigger than the bed and you will not have these problems. If you have a double, get a queen size blanket. If a queen, get a king. If a king, get separate blankets.

A day might come, Earl, when you’d give anything, anything, to have your love roll over with the blanket just one more time. That day came for me in January of this year. When you’re left alone, it’s funny what you find you miss.

I have a nephew that’s 6’3" I crocheted him an afghan that was over 10 feet long. Auntie made sure that he has a cover to fit his proportions because that’s what aunties do.

Am I the only one who saw this as a grim metaphor about death? He starts off by saying “Life is like a short blanket”.The strip is about his efforts to become happy. But when his wife ‘rolls over’, (Which is a euphemism for death) he finds himself cold and alone.
