The Care Home my Mom is in has locked down and is not letting anyone in to visit loved ones unless it is an emergency. Deliveries are left outside for collection and all of their staff is checked everyday for fever and they disinfect as they come in for work. Fortunately, I don’t think my Mom can understand any of this, so she is spared the worry.

I care about all of you on the Orb. Our older Orbsters need to be particularly careful. We can all get past the worst of this and it will get better. Until then, we will be here each day to talk, laugh and support each other.

All of you out there, please take care of your health. I’d hate to lose any of us to the Covid-19 virus. Paul and I have an outing planned with MIL and FIL next Monday that has been planned for ages, and then I am isolating Paul and myself from the outside world as much as possible.

I have about a month’s worth of food in the freezer and pantry, so we will be OK.

Everyone, I second Ladykat’s thoughts about all of us being careful. Discretion is the better part of valor, so Partner and I are postponing our much anticipated trip to New Orleans indefinitely, probably until late fall to avoid hot weather. It’s a great disappointment but we’ve agreed that it’s the best thing to do because of our age and health status, not to mention the four cats that I need to be able to care for. As I mentioned above, I’m beginning to be very frightened of this virus, trying to be prepared while not panicking. Washing hands a LOT. If antibacterial liquid soaps are sold out in your area, remember that deodorant bar soaps like Dial are also antibacterial. Normally I’m a fan of using just plain soap, but these are “interesting” times. Please take care of yourselves.

I’m so excited for the event!

Today is “Plant a Flower Day.” In EARLY MARCH!?!? Most years, our ground is still frozen. This year it isn’t, probably never froze more than a foot down. However, my wife, the resident “plant maniac” (You toebean addicts don’t have a patch on her.) won’t start slamming plants in the ground until late April. That’s assuming the garden isn’t a sea of mud, like it was last year.

So if you can, go plant something … and hopefully not someone.

Wonder if Goldie is ready for Tusslemania.

I’m excited about tusslemania…… Not a wrestling fan but a definite BCW fan.

I don’t post much, but I’m currently at National Jewish Health in Denver for pulmonary, cardiac, immunology testing. Flew in from Florida on Sunday, leave Saturday. Could use some support to fend off all those nasty Covid-19 germs y’all. Thanks, and purrs to everyone!

I am glad that we have not seen any ¨corona virus¨ comics here, it has been a nice reprieve from the constant: AAAAAHH new virus, we´re all gonna die! that i hear about on the news or from other people.
