Of course his ads influenced an election. Just not enough influence to get him a better result. And he doesn’t seem to have been running bot-farms on social media, which are a lot better at creating distraction and division than they are at pushing a particular candidate.
Clearly. Look how cheaply the ignorant, easily swayed, casually duped were into thinking that Russia was not involved and had no influence on the 2016 election.
Bloomberg got his moneys worth, Mikey boy. He bought his way onto the podium for the debates. Too bad for him his mouth couldn’t get him the rest of the way.
Yeah, and the Bloomberg experience has implications for the much-maligned Citizens United decision: Money doesn’t buy elections — but definitely enriches consultants.
Facebook said the Russians spent $4700 and half of that came after the election and the DNC wasn’t hacked by Russia, it was an inside job. That’s why they destroyed their servers. They forgot the NSA. Y’all would know that if you didn’t get your information from our corporate controlled media.
Apparently the Russians are supporting Bernie and Trump right now. I’m willing to be that if Bernie somehow becomes president that Lester and his kin will be drawing comics about how Bernie won because of Russia
I know chuds aren’t real big on “facts”, or “logic”, or “understanding things”, but here goes:
Bloomberg’s money was spent on traditional things – advertising and ground ops, which are typically pretty expensive, whereas Russia spent its money on social media infestation, which is basically free.
Bloomberg’s tactic didn’t work, since the vast majority of prospective voters could see him trying to buy his way in, while the Russians were successful because they were quietly targeting the dimwits on the right, who’d been fed a steady diet of conspiracy theories, and whose limited intelligence prevented them from spotting even the simplest things that would immediately flag the info as suspect, such as misspellings, grammatical errors, and broken English.
Also, good job undermining your own talking point by depicting the guy uttering it as blackout drunk.
As usual, I see all the crazed liberals losing their minds. My suggestion is for them to get off their arses and campaign all the way to November and then actually vote. This toon was dead right on the facts, but that doesn’t matter to crazed individuals.
There is a constant stream of propaganda from Russian troll farms by (I’m ashamed to say) conservative relatives and friends. It serves no other purpose other than pissing people off at each other. That’s the real Russian interference.
The money spent by Bloomberg hurt his campaign IMO. The commercials were on constantly and he was trying to take complete credit for ACA and NY recovery after 9/11. Bloomberg had promised to support other Dem candidates, but his massive spending hurt the ability of others to buy advertising, especially for local races.
The NRA spent tens of millions of dollars that they didn’t have….. Where did they get that money?
Anybody remember Maria Butina?
Putin (Not Jeff Bezos) is the WEALTHIEST person on the planet. He has personal access to all of Russian’s oil wealth and treasury. He wouldn’t spend $250,00 on a project close to his hard to find heart.
The idea the the Russians Spent so little money down’t stand up to scrutiny and IS a Right Wing talking point.

Does this mean that Lester is admitting that the Russians were interfering with our elections? Trump will not be happy.

Bloomberg is out of the running, but he is still in the battle for democracy. Yes, Mr Lester. his money will influence the election.
It is telling that the repubs are a so easily bought cheap by the Russian.

MLester came up with the $250,000 figure based on what? Verified credit card purchases from the Russian government to Facebook? Get real.

Now, now. We all know Russia had nothing to do with Trump’s campaign, it was Ukraine, remember? Or, maybe it was Romania. One of those.
