“Cats and People, the story you are about to see is true. The names might have been changed to protect the innocent. This is the city, Ashaway, RI. I work here. I’m a PI. It was Friday, April 24th. We were in quarantine here in Ashaway. My name is Goldie. A Toddler toy has gone missing. I have to try to find him.”
Is Goldie going to get the crime scene technician mice to go over the Big Pink House? Will it be dusted for finger and paw prints? Will statements be taken? Will Goldie have to get rough with anyone?
Oh how I remember the great Blanket and Bun-Bun* hunts in the days of yore. Seems so long ago.
*Bun-Bun →A white, plush bunny rabbit that Alexandria took everywhere (Shhh, don’t tell anyone, especially her friends, but Bun-Bun is still on her bed).
And Mac could not go anywhere with his blanket. Now, at 15, he is taller than his 6’ father, goes through airports, boards planes and flies across the country by himself.
Check the laundry room. You can find all sorts of stuff in there. At least, when I had a laundry room per se, now not so much since the washer and dryer are stacked in my kitchen area.
OFF TOPIC – PAUL:
Paul was in good spirits yesterday, and a little more alert. He’ll be coming home on Monday or Tuesday. He has an appointment at the cancer hospital on May 6. We aren’t sure yet if it will be a real appointment. I got into a spirited discussion with a secretary at the cancer hospital concerning whether or not I will be allowed in with him. I politely explained that, as his primary caregiver, I fully intend to be there for all his appointments for consultations and treatment. She said this will depend on whether or not the doctor feels I am necessary for Paul’s well-being. I snarled and stated in no uncertain terms that yes, I am necessary and I really don’t care what the doctor feels about me, I AM GOING IN!!! (sorry for the yell).
OT— We got our stimulus check in the mail today. I was surprised because our soc sec is direct deposit and everything I read (including the IRS site) said if your social security is direct deposit that’s how your stimulus payment would come. So I’ve been checking our account every day for a deposit. Oh well. At least we got it.
Was watching the BCN YouTube channel last night on the TV, mostly just watching the videos of the boys. DC seemed really interested in Elvis and baby Puck, he first laid there in my arms and then sat beside me and watched the majority of the first Baby Puck Play Cam video before deciding to go check up on his bowl.
Today is highly appropriate to the subject of missing stuffed penguins. It is World Penguin Day. Or maybe it’s Whirled Penguin Day, or Whorled Penguin Day. I don’t know if there is such a thing as a whorled penguin, but whirling penguins sound like fun, perhaps even for the penguin. I’ll have to ask one.
NOTE: This has nothing to do with female devotees of certain religions, who may not appreciate being whirled, and certainly would object to being whorled. It also does not apply to anyone sporting a tuxedo, with the exception of Fred Astaire. He liked whirling, and was darned good at it. I miss old Liquid Legs—and his dance partners.
I will now spin off on another tangent … Did you know that a straight section of railroad track, no matter how long, is called a tangent? Do you know why?
Okay. I don’t grump much. Let’s start again. … I don’t complain often. No, redo….. Usually I am nice. Ahem! Anyway, I have a problem with bookings lately, especially yesterday and today. I commented both days with different posts. Among other people, ladykat and sallicat responded. (Thank you to all.). Now I want to respond to sallicat and ladykat. But instead of putting my reply in order of receipt with others’ replies to them, economics insists on putting my new comments immediately after my earlier comments. In other words, putting my new comments out of time order. How can I fix this? What am I doing wrong?

It’s not Christmas, but Faith Hill asks the Question: Where Are You?
Where are you Pengo?
Why can’t we find you?
Why did you hide away?
Where is the laughter
You always brought me
Where are, oh please say!
…….
Goldie is searching,
My sister’s drawing,
She knows how to seek,
Where are you Pengo?
And do you miss me?
As much as I miss you?
Goldie: Pengo is here
Somewhere, oh
Pengo is here
You know we care, oh
If there is love in your heart and your mind
You will find your friends all the time
Oh, I feel you Pengo
I know I’ll find you
You know we won’t give up, oh
The joy of friendship
Stays here inside us
Fills each and every heart with love
Where are you Pengo,
We look for you with love
