Runaway Spider Growth Hormone?

At least the spider has done nothing but stand there and look huge.

It’s been hiding in that cave in frozen fear ever since the “trapdoor” scene yesterday ;-)

So, this is where Shelob ended up. Torch it indeed. I felt the same way when I found a wasps nest in the garage. Fortunately, my neighbor talked me down and I hired a professional. I still think the WD-40 and a lighter would have done the trick.

Nuke it from orbit . It’s the only way to be sure.

And actually, tarantulas are pretty good eating, particularly the big ones.
