Well, pilgrims, the problem is that the blue coveralls are the only item that actually match the perfectly handsome blue shirt he’s wearing. Three of the items look totally silly, and,… totally clash violently with the blue of the shirt.
So, if I had to choose, the coveralls would be it, however, if he changed his shirt, the kilt would look cool. But since we don’t know their destination, any of them might be totally inappropriate and stick out like a sore thumb.
It makes me wonder -
Is the reason that Jon dresses like this that he’s just color blind and nerdy?
Or, is Jim Davis making a personal statement? (I actually knew someone who dressed abrasively to get a rise out of people.)
Jon should wear the pair of jean as he is supposed to wear as well. I love to wear my favorite Levi’s 501 jean, because 501 jean has metal buttons that is so easy to button up than zpper. I hate the zipper. Sometimes it get stuck and sometimes it hurt my private area (you know what I mean!)
I agree with you, Wildmustange1262, that Jon should wear jeans. As a female, I can only imagine the pain that you felt when a zipper gets you in “I know what you mean private area”. In fact, you have made think of seeing if button up jeans would be better on me.
Lewreader, I’m sorry Ito hear of your uncles mishap. I trust that he had a great time with his fellow pipers, being with other Scotsmen and the wearing of his kilt ensemble. My only question is,’is he a true Scotsman or was he wearing an Americanized costume?’
Wildmustang1261, you are correct about the Levi 501’s are several steps up from ‘zippered’ pants. Also, they’re a lot better than a kilt which is held together with a large diaper pin. Major big time OUCH!!!
I am sorry to hear about your uncle, Lewreader. I hope he was okay. Well, you can’t blame those nurses from wanting to find out just what exactly is under a kilt.

You’re right WP — he should go with the bib overalls. It’s the closest thing to a normal look of the bunch, and after all, he was raised on a farm.

He looks surprisingly good in a kilt. Cute knees!

Hey, I’d love a guy in a kilt! Of course, I have a slight obsession with Scotland. The rest, however, I agree with Liz.

I love kilts. Our deacon at church sports one occasionally and I understand he also plays bagpipes, although I haven’t heard him yet. Hope to.

Beautiful cover panel. I think I’m wearing the first pair of pants now. Hmm, I thought I looked right smart.

Given how LIZ is dressed, I’d say the bib overalls aren’t too bad an option…
The kilt should be worn with a white shirt, though…

Shogun, seriously, I think real Scottish clan tartans are more complicated than the one drawn on Jon. Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Maybe Jon doesn’t want to go where Liz is going, so he is trying to frustrate her into giving up on him coming along : )
