First thing that comes to mind is FNAF. XD; That thing doesn’t look too far off from one of Scott Cawthon’s creations. (Even/especially in the lightened version that @gtreulands provided…)
OK, weirder and weirder. Whatever that thing is, it seems to be in some sort of business office with a phone, a desk/credenza, an office chair, a wall calendar, a pc/laptop, and a chart or something with pie graphs, possibly drawn on a whiteboard.
I’m wondering if we are looking at some sort of haunting with a ghost who is tormented by memories of what could have been before the destruction hit and eliminated everything worthwhile, sort of like Sparkplug wandering forever in his ruins, haunted by the memory of his wife and child whom he could not get home in time to save. And in this case, perhaps a businessman who stayed too long at the office that day.
When Wally met the control program of the Edmund Fitzgerald, it spoke to him about the display units that Wally and others referred to as “dittoes” and commented about them having gotten loose and gone feral (and dangerous), and who fed off of emotional energy. And whenever we met clusters of feral dittoes, they tried to take a frightening form that allowed them to feed off of the emotional reactions of the people that they encountered. Dittoes, when examined closely, were fine grained, and thus able to take very detailed forms, as long as there were enough of them. These toothbrushes, however, are rather coarse in resolution, so we are seeing a crude “sketch” (like macaroni art?) of something frightening, plus they shed easily, not seeming to be super cohesive.
So if this is a ghost, trying to take form, and which feeds off of emotional energy, I wonder if Wally could communicate with it and control it as he does with the dittoes? And could his dittoes help facilitate this?
Well, yes, it’s scary looking. BUT if you had to put yourself together with only toothbrushes for components, what would YOU look like? Maybe those are all pink and blue brushes and he/she is super nice.
@Cheapskate0Most monitors have three settings that can be adjusted to make a dark image more viewable. Brightness, Contrast, and Gamma. The manual for your monitor should have the information about these adjustments. However, there is a trick that will work on some LED monitors, try looking at the image from an angle far off to the side, top or bottom. This will work on some but not all monitors. It will do the trick on two of my three primary monitors, and the laptop as well. Oddly it does not work on my Wacom graphics tablet.
The figure seems to be facing the desk/wall in the 3rd panel and it’s the opening of the door that makes it turn its head to look at the boys. Not necessarily threatening, but ugly and scary.

I see a toothbrush man … in a room with furnishings… something we have not seen so far.
Close the Freakin’ door, kid!
And now you know why Wally was freaking out!

One might think that, with all those toothbrushes involved, that this new guy would have a better smile…

Very strange. When the image loads you can see the creature for a split second and then it gets dark. Is this a clever animated .gif?!

Clean out the “toothbrushes” and return to our normal lives. I think we all wish for that right now.
