Just a raking man…..

Or more precisely Housekeeping – Rake Patrol.

A scene like that comes cruising through once in a while: perfect weather, nice evening lighting, no bugs, beautiful people…It doesn’t bother me a bit that it isn’t going to happen. But I could make it so if I wanted.

In our house, my wife makes the little decisions, and I make the BIG decisions.

HGTV will do that to ya if you’re not careful. The wallet usually brings you back to reality.

My uncle (a plastics manufacturer) has a fountain like that. And a dachshund.

every time I see those beautiful huge backyard “outdoor rooms” I wonder , who sweeps away the spider webs, cleans off the mold and pollen, and clears away the leaves? They look so good at first but I see more work.

and he probably complained about having to do that.

You can’t enjoy any of that unless you have a screened patio.

As I write this, the majority of my azaleas are dropping their young green leaves. I have been working to bring them back to their once impressive state but right now they look awful. I don’t know why this is happening. I have been watering them but have eased up on that in case it was too much ( I admit to be overzealous with watering). Their root base has been exposed since last year as I was advised to do (clear the mulch away from them) and I provided additional fertile soil and fertilizer in general. Maybe their time has come.
