Nowadays, I think my danger signals would run way up into the red, if a chick had fir on her silk robe; just sayin. Personally, I dig the garter belt thing; and then there was a girlfriend who would wear only chaps and a cowgirl hat, ; ah those were the days.
Wow! Based on an illustration from a comic based on a story written by Emile Zola. OoooOoooOoooo. I guess the proposal those eyes were making was “you will do as I say…”
The original artwork is frankly pretty good…was the author really Zola, (I doubt it, why would a comics publisher go to the effort to translate a French work for a nickel comic?) or perhaps a “legitimate” novelist who wanted to hid behind a pseudonym?
Well, amazingly, it is a story from Zola. Goodreads summary: “When the apparently angelic Thérèse commits murder, she offers sexual favors to a petty clerk if he will dispose of the body.” One English edition: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/956731.For_a_Night_of_Love

Let’s just try to make each other happy and worry about what we think of each other later on.
