Wow !  Sam says that like shaky had broke jail when in fact he hasn’t broke bail …… yet. Panel IV: Tracy’s fangs are out and dripping with drool.

Obligatory Wrist Radio product placement today (three times!). Finally, Tracy finds out that Shaky is out of bail! It certainly took long enough for someone to notice.

I like the yellow for the voice coming from afar.

I was wondering when and how Dick Tracy would get the news that Shaky was out and Shaky being out in public restaurants with Fortuna/Breathless and “feeling comfortable”, if not overconfident…

Anyway, it will be interesting how the story “wraps”…

I predict that the movie won’t be finished with Shaky and Fortuna/Breathless meeting the same fates as their earlier incarnations…

Even still – out on bail – is that news?

At least it’s not another day of Edison and Apartment 3G!

My, my, my, Tracy and Sam….long time no see. For a minute there, I thought this strip was going to renamed: Edison, Fortuna and Shaky. I can see them jostling each other for top billing.

?TF are they? ;P

Wouldn’t the Tracy County State’s Attorney office routinely notify Tracyville PD of felons making bail ?

And now back to out story…….

That’s a pretty stiff newspaper Dick’s holding there.

Well. He had to find out somehow. You’d think that there’d be procedures, to notify the arresting officer, perhaps maybe even the victim?

Shaky has been out on bail for at LEAST two, maybe three weeks strip time… and they’re just finding it out now?!?!

Tracy will go out of his way to make sure Broadway Bates is denied parole, but he DOESNT keep tabs on the lowlife who almost murdered his own wife?

As my best friend says to me all the time… CAH-MAHNNNN!!!!

Also odd, why exactly WAS Sam on location of the film? Far as I know he had NOTHING to do with the original story, so he couldnt be a consultant…he couldnt be “private security”… so, what reason was he there for?

Who are these guys in the strip today?

1-DT: Oh, hi Sam. S’up?

2-SAM: Nothin’. I’m on patrol. Really bored. Did you know I crave action so much that sometimes I take both hands off the wheel and look away from the road. Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping like when you look up and there’s a kid right in front of you! Or a semi.

3-DT: Yeah, we know about that, Sam. That’s why you got assigned the 1952 Ford Crestline. We knew that steel post steering wheel and lack of seatbelts would suit you fine.

SAM: Thanks Tracy. Well, no action here. I just clipped a birdbath in somebody’s front yard. No big. I think I’ll check out Craggy Cliff Road. That’s always… AHHHHHHHHH! Oh. Just a kid walking a dog. The kid’s ok. She’ll get over the dog…

he question is, is breathless more interested in shakey or Tracy from a personal point of view.? considering how very different they are in looks and behavior, then if the answer is both, then she’s just an alley cat.

the neat thing would be if she slings shaky out for Tracy, and then for shakey to learn edison has also gotten over him.

“Are you sure that it was Shaky? There’s tons of crooks, goons and mooks walking around Tracyville in tuxedos. Plus, some Chippendale dancers go to work in tuxedos. How do you know that it was the real Shaky?”

“Because Shaky was really shaky. And his tuxedo pants crunched when he walked.”

“Hmmmm…okay, sounds like probable cause ‘cause it was probably the real Shaky. Okay, let me get my hat and trench coat. What’s the weather like out there?”

“Eighty five degrees with no wind.”

“Perfect trench coat weather. Okay see you soon. Tracy out.”

“Wait! Don’t you want to know where I am? Tracy? Tracy? Oh, well, he’ll find me. Time for a cup of joe. I hope that bleached blonde, gum snapping floozy waitress is serving today. I think her name is Babs. Or maybe Myrtle. Well, it’s a cuppa joe, anyway. She knows how to make it so black that it’s chewy.”

And so it goes, by gar, by gar…

Why is this Tracy guy intruding on Edison, Shaky, and Pseudo Breathless’ triangular love life? Mary Worth will be appalled

Tracy: Dang blast it! I thought I scared all the judges into always denying bail! Who’s the backslider?

Two things today.

We learn (for the first time, I think) the actual name of the film: “Left Breathless.”

Why was Sam around the set, himself? I dunno. But Sam seems to me to be implying that Shaky’s hanging around the set when he is out on bail is somehow suspicious. I would expect that this is not how Sam and/or Tracy first learn Shaky’s out on bail (how would Sam have deduced that?)….
