Since it’s news in the digital age with all its trappings, I would have expected the stand to have some form of “Want to know more?” Click-bait device.
126,000+ deaths, he played 2 rounds of golf over the weekend, his VP is stumbling between asking people to wear masks and insisting the administration has beaten the COVFEFE-45 virus. Nothing to see here, folks, move along.
A friend in Austin has had to break off communicating with an upstairs “neighbor.” Seems the woman has charts, graphs, websites, as well as the names of all persons and groups who have perpetrated this world- wide coronavirus hoax, and is bent on letting all her neighbors know the “truth.”
Sadly, it’s getting so that I don’t believe the news. While I know that is a no brainier for some people, I grew up with Walter Cronkite and the Huntly Brinkly report and I respected them. Now its all opinion pieces and slants. In of world of instant communications and the internet, I feel more ignorant and confused than ever. Sad, that.
I remember a military saying that went something like this: “If you believe 90 % of the bad news and 10% of the good news, you’ll be right 99% of the time!” I may ne wrong on the percentages, but you get the idea. (not Ikea)

One of the signs attached to the news stand says, “Whatever”. Seems appropriate. Makes me think of the song “Whatever” by Godsmack. ;)

If they move along without stopping, then there is no way for the news to spread.

Strangely enough the viral news never have an impact on reality. It’s all superficial and doesn’t leave any traces when it’s gotten old.

There are no longer any sources in the public view that can be trusted. News is defunct and replaced by opinion and innuendo.

Like any “news” service with the letters “F” or “X” in its name?

I’m just glad I can rely on internet message boards for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, about everything I need to know.
