We’ve got the main plot, and the scrapbook, then we’ve got Lupin with his post-it masks, and a robber mouse in pajamas to share it all. A wealth of stuff to enjoy!
Awesome, this combines many of my favorites… BCN, comics, cats, and scrapbooking. Also I love when we get proof of Elvis having a soft heart. I may need to buy a new screen this one has gone all blurry!
Well Georgia I hope your happy. You made me go get Mac’s and Alexandria’s baby-books* down off the shelf and page through them. I could have been doing something practical…but no. Instead, I was looking at pictures of my little Bug-A-Boo (Mac) and my little Pumpkin-Doodle (Alex). My whole schedule for this morning is doomed (for you Robin)!
My little Pumpkin-Doodle got an early admission letter yesterday from the college she want’s to attend next year. They awarded her a $12,000 academic scholarship, plus there are several more scholarships we are waiting to hear about. She is going to study Art & History, with a minor in Museum Studies. Her dream job is being a curator at the Smithsonian or Field Museum in Chicago.
With Mac away at Ballet Conservatory and Alex at college, next year Marie and I will be empty nesters. That just isn’t right. After all, both kids were no older than Georgia’s kids just yesterday!
Thank Cat for Georgia, and for this world she’s created out of thin air! BCN is the personification of all things good in this world, and reminds me daily that being kind, caring and thoughtful is still the best way to go about this business of living…even if sometimes it seems like I’m the only one who thinks so. I mean, Elvis took the time to make a baby book! For Beatrix! Who’d a thunk it!
“Scaling Mt. Couch” reminds me: Georgia posted a pic on Instagram of the real Big Red Couch the other day. 12 years, 4 cats, 2 People-kittens, & it’s still looking pretty good!
I actually collect cat whiskers. When I show them to anyone, they will always ask, “Do you pull them out?” Of course not, I only collect a whisker after a cat is done with it. I guess people don’t know whiskers are occasionally shed like other hair.
OT: the Woman has an appointment with a podiatrist tomorrow as the pain and swelling in her foot has not abated a whole lot after two weeks. Will keep you posted.
Book Lovers Day —And what an appropriate comic for it! “Whenever I have a little money, I buy books. If any is left, I buy food and clothing.” Erasmus I, and many others, resemble that remark.
National Rice Pudding Day — HORK!!! I hate rice pudding, always have. The odd thing: I love rice of any kind. Go figure.
Melon Day —That’s better! I never met a ripe melon I didn’t like, except for melon-headed politicians …
National Polka Day — That’s one half-step for a young Bohemian girl, one giant leap for … the accordion. To my shame, though my ancestry is partially Bohemian (where the dance originated), I never learned to polka. I’m also part Polish, which makes the shame even greater, as in the US, the polka became the dance of Polish emigres. The polka, however, is truly an international dance, and has been adopted and adapted by many cultures. So get hopping!
Recently just watch both Three Men and a Baby and Three Men and a Little Lady for the first time in years. Now this has me thinking a title for the next book oughta be Three Toms and a Kitten
Beatrixia: That’s the last of Tabith-Isis’ red dots back on the shelf. I got my climbing practice in.
Elvis-Anum: Maat-Tilda already started fixing her tapestry. Trust her to make something great out of a disaster.
Beatrixia: But who could have made all this mess? Paser-Jules was here and so was Ta-Natash. I don’t want to point a paw at anyone, but I just don’t know.
Agnes-Ata: I don’t think Ta-Natash would deliberately make a mess, but she does get careless.
Elvis-Anum: We’ll just have to wait until the Queen and the Royal Party comes back from the Owl Temple.
Agnes-Ata: Elvis-Anum, what is this scroll you’ve got there?
Elvis-Anum: Oh, nothing really. Just an old papyrus.
Beatrixia: Wait! I know those drawings! That’s me when I first started climbing!
