I see Lupin still does not have pants on.

That reminds me of the ceiling light I used to have in my bedroom. It was pale blue glass that hung from the fixture on three bead ball chains. If you didn’t get the beads from the chain in the exact same spot on the slots, it would hang crooked. (Yeah, I know, it should be “crookedly” but that just don’t sound right!)

Lupin, hun, fuzziest of adventurers, light of my life, PUT ON SOME FREAKING PANTS!

Only the July Bug knows how to successfully channel the power of the ceiling light. Lupin is yet to succeed, and succeed he shall for he knows that the ceiling is a floor too if you believe in yourself! ;)

I admit, sometimes I also will shake my fist at some bug in the ceiling light and shout “get outta there so I can smash you!”

The battle lines are drawn!

My cats will intently watch our bedroom window. The moths will get attracted to the light and try to get closer. When they think they have a chance… the cats will use me as a springboard and pounce at the moths. I have scratches everywhere. And the cats are frustrated beyond hope… the screen is in the way!

How annoying for the July bug to be right! That makes him even more of a nuisance.

(And why don’t they use the ceiling light?)

Lupin is discreetly shielding … erm…himself behind a handy speech balloon.

The bird over in today’s False Knees is similarly discombobulated by a flying beetle.

Goldie still seems to be weighing the evidence and making up her mind about the July Bug.

Is it just me or does the July bug remind a bit of the French Taunter in “Monty Python and The Holy Grail”? He/she definitely has the sarcasm down pat!

How many cats does it take to change a light bulb? None. Cats can “see in the dark”. Someone will change it when they trip over a cat.

Well, he is a cat, no need for pants, nature has provided him with a lovely, fluffy white fur coat. Might be a bit hot in this weather but it does look great on him.

They’re having meaningful dialogue with the bug. A free and frank exchange of information.

Today is (among other things): International Chess Day (The Game of Kings … in which the Queen is the most powerful piece); Moon Day (Monday was named after the Moon, or perhaps the other meaning of the word); National Fortune Cookie Day (You are doomed. Lucky numbers: 4, 3.1416, 2.7183, 1, 0.); National Lollipop Day (There’s a sucker born every minute.); Space Exploration Day, and considering the sad state of our space program, it is appropriately Nap Day (3…2…1…Zzzzzzzz.)

Prince Valiant!!! That’s the first comic strip I followed faithfully. Of course, I read the Sunday Comics as a child but Prince Valiant is the one that stands out in memory. It’s been gone for decades. Anyone else remember Prince Valiant?

All I know is they had better be careful what they say. The Station has been bugged.

I love that Elvis shakes his fist at Jules, Jules shakes 2 back, and Elvis slaps his fist into his other hand in the final panel with tail twitching as he admits (incredibly) “He’s right.” Such drama!!
