By, by, bug bug. And all wave goodbye to our intrepid July Bug……Indeed Old July Bugs never die, they just fade into whatever July plot that Georgia dreams up!
Reporters! Please! If the July Bug is immortal… that means for eleven months he is traveling around the world seen all sorts of fun sites! Interview him and find out! Try hard not to make it an exclusive! Include Gatos de Noticias!!! ;)
In the first panel, I actually read the Woman’s dialogue as “July bug”. And it made perfect sense to me for a second. Then I remembered that the People don’t speak Cat, and I wondered if I need new glasses.
Odd, but I haven’t had a single June bug on my patio door screen so far. With two cats in the house, I’d know if one was crawling around on the screen as the cats would be climbing the inside trying to catch it. I live on a half acre lot in a rural town. As a result I used to have to replace the door screen at least once per season.
This is for our ladykat and her paul. I had technical problems yesterday and could not type. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know the Orb has surrounded you, and I join my hands in that loving circle. I felt like I knew him, and I am crying too.it will get easier.i hope his kids love you too.
Thank you all so much for your caring and loving messages yesterday and today. I really wish I had the time to answer all of you individually, but I know all of you understand when I say THANK YOU, ORBSTERS!!!
Today is Peanut Butter and Chocolate Day. It is also National Vanilla Ice Cream Day. I’m not really big on vanilla ice cream (even with real vanilla, or “real vanilla bean specks”—yah, riiiiight), but it makes a wonderful foundation for other epicurean delights—like peanut butter and chocolate.
So what are your favorite toppings for vanilla ice cream (other than peanut butter and chocolate)?
What frustrates me is how June bugs flip themselves onto their back when they’re ready to kick the bucket. I couldn’t tell you how many of them I’ve right-sided only to watch them immediately flip themselves right back over.

From the Movie Same Time, Next Year: The Last Time I Felt Like This
Hello, Jules in July is my name, but I know that all the same
This is more than just a simple hello.
Hello, do I come and go away? No, I’m gonna stay,
And buzz around before I go.
…….
Cause the last time I visited, I was buzzing around,
Buzzing and bonking, Like I’d never be here again
Goldie, the last time I visited was long before I knew
The detective cat was you.
…….
Hello, I remember when I first came in
So many cats showed so many chins
And I learned of the news archives
I know that although the night is thru, I’ll come back to visit you,
You will all know when I arrive!
…….
Cause the last time I visited, I was buzzing around,
Buzzing and bonking, Like I’d never be here again
Elvis, the last time I visited was long before I knew
Of the many things you do.

“We’ll Meet Again” written by Ross Parker and Hugh Charles.
♪"We’ll meet again,
We know where, we know when,
And I know we’ll meet again
Some sunny day.
Keep purring through,
Just like you always do,
’Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.
So will you please say hello
To the cats that I know,
Tell them I won’t be long.
They’ll be happy to know
That as you saw me go,
I was buzzing this song
We’ll meet again,
We know where,
We know when,
And I know we’ll meet again,
Some sunny day."♫
