Has the cartoonist confused “joke” and “riddle”?

There is an overlap, but they’re not entirely the same.

Before the asteroid impact theory was accepted by most Paleontologists, I had a Professor that thought the more likely one was that they all died from Hayfever since flowering plants appear in the Geologic record about the same time as the Dinosaurs disappeared.

Oh GAWD!!! Is this gonna be a new thing?

Unfortunately, some studious people like her have no sense of humor.

That was the main reason, along with the massive release of methane from the Siberian traps on the opposite side of the world. And maybe something else unknown.

Hopefully Gracie is smart enough not to plan on a career in comedy.

What if they died out slowly instead of all at once? The meteorite thing is just a guess.
