I want to know how much the king paid for the cat. Cause Dick might be Lord Mayor of London, but now he has a bad rodent problem, and possibly a plague problem.
Dick Whittington, inventer of the catflap. His cat made it into Westminster Abbey with him. https://www.westminster-abbey.org/media/10765/whittington-cat-window-westminster-abbey.jpg

Old Yeller the Cat would have ended badly. A rabid rat, perhaps?

Tell it again! Tell it with the voices and accents this time.

Saw Old Yeller 65 years ago. The ending still gets me a bit misty.

Yea, I think it is jerry (the mouse) he finally got his comeuppance.

Why does the mouse look like Jerry from Tom & Jerry?
cuzinron47 about 4 years ago
Maybe it does give Luddie a sense of worth, albeit a false sense.
fritzoid Premium Member about 4 years ago
For the record, Dick Whittington was real but the cat story is fiction. Whittington (really Lord Mayor of London) wasn’t even born poor.

All I know is you dont own a cat. The cat owns you. Cats moto whats mine is mine, whats yours is now mine. And if I fits, I sits anywhere.

Tom’s gonna get upset when he sees somebody else caught Jerry…
