John, the family photographer, is never in any of the movies with the rest of the family.

“Lizzie, here’s another corn stick – I didn’t get the first time! Also, can you run April past the scarecrow again?”

Elly would probably make a good B Movie Director.

There are camera men/women and there are directors. “Lights ! Camera! ACK-SHUN!”:

I know that there are back-seat drivers. Is this a case of back-seat camera-women?

I hated being in movies/photos. I took over as family photographer/filmer at 12. Even learned how to edit the old Super 8 film with one of those old gidgies.

And the playback will include all her bossing, too.

Oh, isn’t that sweet? The Patterfoobs have dug out their 30-year old vintage movie camera. I wonder… was it difficult getting film?

Been there – far too many times…

I took many pictures at a major party. I did a great job. but looking back, I missed out on the party. Never did that again.

Gone are the days of the old movie filming cameras. My dad had an 8mm hand-wound camera for our home movies. The floodlights were HOT and dangerous. You couldn’t set them down until they cooled off without burning or melting whatever they touched. When it was our turn (as young parents) we had one of the second generation video tape cameras (with the mini tapes) and that trend didn’t last very long. Now, my son uses his iPhone to video his daughter and sends us links to them. Things have changed so much in much less than half a century. :P

Well, that’s pretty true. I mean the directory rarely does the filming. She sees the vision in the scene, the camera man sees the shading, timing, centering and all that.

Why not ditch the camera and have some fun?

So busy recording it they are missing out on having fun themselves.

That speaks volumes….

That’s a Director for you, in a nutshell…

Their video camera is making a whirring sound. Is it programmed to do that or is it getting ready to burst into flames?

April chewing on the carrier frame, is an accident waiting to happen. One good bounce from Mike, and she’ll lose what teeth she has.

My mother was always taking pictures. I was 17 before I knew what her actual face looked like without a camera. Now she is gone and my and my 2 siblings have many boxes of her pictures. Fun going thru them and discarding all that had people we don’t know, scenery we don’t care about and many parades we don’t remember. Of course we kept the ones we care about.

My dad used to be video recording everything w/his video camera!

Isn’t it a shame he forgot to load the film!

Elly is better as a director.

being a photographer for over 50 years not in many myself.

My wife gets nervous about how I drive. But if I ask her if she’d be more comfortable if she drives, she always turns it down.

This lady has an eye for the pleasant things going around. She can learn to take photos and start making albums for the family.

She’s the director. When I drive my wive navigates. She calls herself The Nagivator. Her words not mine.
