That headline is not possible. While the pictures (and the ads) are real food, it certainly isn’t cooked and packaged the way yours will be. Paint and hair dryers are involved.

The “breaking” really broke me.

Problem is… it was from Falafel King! They photo their own food to put on the menu. So… what you get might look more appetizing! ;)

Pretty difficult, during these political times, to distinguish some of the real news stories from tabloid BS.

The tacos I got Sunday were stuffed with lettuces and cheese. I was shocked.

You can wrap rubbish in any newspaper but tabloids provide plenty of their own rubbish to get you started.

Japanese food is the only one I know of where the real food is actually better than their displays. But that’s because the food on display is plastic.

Unfortunately, that is because the picture was a photo of a fast food bag with the meal inside. The food inside of the bag were way off their photos as usual.

So easy to get misled these days. We’ve got to keep a sharp lookout!

Did it taste as good as it looked?

Years (and years!) ago I was sitting in a McDonald’s, and at the next table was an inspector from Corporate evaluating the restaurant. He ordered a Big Mac, and when he got it he pulled out a ruler to measure how high it was compared with the Corporate guidelines. If it was any higher than something like 1 1/4" he was going to ding them for it. This was (and still is!) when the Big Macks in the advertisements always looked like they were around 3" high.

That’s definitely fake news!

The old advertising maxim: sell the sizzle and not the steak. It’s also an allegorical reference to politics.

I am guessing the picture on the menu was updated, not the other way around.

Murdoch Nooz. He started with fake Aliens and moved up to fake Presidents.

The food in the picture is cold. Professional shoots take a long time, and they have to arrange everything by hand. It would taste gross.

Reading tabloid headlines is an amusing way to pass the time in grocery checkout lines.

As far as we can figure, out local fast food megachain outlet’s motto is, “You order what YOU want, we give you what WE want.” sigh.

The reason it doesn’t look like the pictures in the menu is because the food in the pictures isn’t real and fixed by artists.

At least the frozen dinner boxes get it right.

Cookbooks and online recipes use those makeup artists too.
