I live in a popular tourist area and leaf-peeping is one of the busiest times. So many want to come and experience the leaves. I ask the ones who use my driveway as a turn around if they’d like to experience the leaves close up, and hand them my rake.

I thought bonsai tees are coniferous. But what do I know. Love the little guy raking the foest floor.

A nicer attraction for the shop than Audrey II.

Dear Wiley, this is not a particularly nice way to point out that nearly all men are inherently stunted.

Well, they never complain about being short-handed in that shop.

Bonsai shortage — is that redundant?

Suddenly, I could feel Charles. Addams in the room!

almost any tree can be made miniature. “bonsai” means small pot.

Something that Charles Addams might have done half a century ago.

Good thing the guy is using a rake, a leaf blower that size would sound just like a mosquito

I just want to know if the little gardener comes with the tree, or do you need to purchase him separately?
eolan59 about 4 years ago
Just wait until he sees the squirrels

This reminded me of some of Charles Adams’ cartoons, but his were done “darker.”

Pictured is moments after his come-on line, “Hey, Gorgeous, come here mulch?” to the exiting lady totally crashed.

These bonsai are deciduous, but could be evergreen with the right sort of tree. Never heard of a conifer, though, which would grow too tall for a pot.
