Warm welcoming sun. Chirping birds in the distance. Dappled lighting through the trees. Comfortable place to take a nap. Potential of having a hardy meal later.
Vs.
People.
Yep… I agree. The fishing sounds much, much, much better!
A wise man once said, people always start their conversation with the word honestly, when they are trying to convince you that they are trying to be truthful and sincere. But then, liars always start with the word honestly, as well!
The way he’s fishing, he could still go to the party if he wanted to. Then again, when I used to go fishing, it wasn’t so much to catch fish as to get out in nature with friends/family and relax and/or have fun.
Seen on a bumper sticker: Time spent fishing does not count against your allotted life span. Personally, I don’t mind fishing, but I’m a catch and release kind of guy. My favorite fish is Gorton’s Batter Fried.

I prefer a nice book or a computer/ console game over people

I prefer hanging around dead people than the live ones. A vacation is not good until you have visited a graveyard

It helps if you don’t use hook or bait. Less bother of having to risk catching anything.
