I am inclined to use the same approach.. or wing it off the back deck.. Maybe the frustration comes from not having a live person to yell at when the computer gives you the “can’t get there from here” page with no listed options or reasons.
The TV in my kitchen where I have the news on while preparing meals has decided not to listen to its remote control and turn on. The TV is smarter than most of us.
“Big, big hammers on sale now, now, now.” “Widest selection of discount hammers.” “If you are looking for …hammers…look here first.” “Hammered every day? Seek help here.”
You can find anything on the Internet, if it doesn’t find you first.

If the pen is mightier than the sword then the keyboard is mightier than the hammer. This is rather unfortunate for the monitor.

Sorry, Horace, but the only way to get the information you need is to Google it.
Which brings us to the old adage… “Plan Ahead”.

Horace, don’t feel so bad! I had to replace a TV after watching the constant, 24/7/365 Bull slinging of DJT!

Looks like he handled the problem adequately.

C’mon, haven’t we all felt like doing this at one time or another? For me, it’s when the computer has a problem……nothing to do with me.

Never abuse or beat on the monitor. It is just the messenger of bad news. Follow the wire through the interwebs and talk to the source.

Step away and eat soup. Or bake brownies. Or call a friend.
