In supporting a womanizing, Biblically illiterate, porn-star hush-money payor, p*$$y-grabbing, child-stealing, pervert, phony, hypocritical “holier-than-thou” conservative evangelical “Christians” — who always wag their fingers in everyone else’s noses have been exposed for the money-grubbing frauds they are — have officially relinquished any credibility on claiming to be the party of “family values” or the “moral majority” (they are neither moral nor the majority).

These conservative religious hucksters have proven that it is only about the money, supporting candidates who will REDISTRIBUTE middle class working people’s wealth upward to the few richest elites like themselves who already have the most, while pursuing their daily televangelist scams and weekly Sunday collection cons to swindle gullible suckers out of their hard-earned money. They are more about CON than conservatism.

These phony moralists wag their fingers in everyone else’s noses and tell others how to live, and tried to impeach Bill Clinton over consensual oral sex and went ballistic because Barack Obama wore a tan suit.

Evangelical conservatives must never again lecture anyone about morality. They have lost all moral authority and have been exposed as the vapid moral hypocrites that they are, lacking any principles whatsoever and trading values for political expediency and hypocrisy on an unimaginable scale.

A word to the Evangelicals: do NOT ever again try to convince us — con us — into believing your thirty pieces of political silver were worth your betrayal of democracy.

An evangelical type at work once asked me if I thought I could buy my way into Heaven. I replied, “Of course I can. That’s what organized religion is all about.”

Please do not paint all evangelical Christians with that same broad brush. There are many thoughtful, hard-working Evangelicals trying to do the work of Jesus and not the work of Mammon. They are working with people from other countries and other faith traditions to create a fair and just immigration system. They want to build an economic system that allows everyone a fair chance to get ahead. They are trying to create an electoral system that easily allows every vote to count and be counted. They are working to make it safe for everyone who is not a white male to walk down the street without being afraid for their life, especially from the police. Unfortunately, this group represents a small percentage of Evangelicals compared to the sell-outs mentioned above. Among this group of faithful Evangelicals is one of the granddaughters of Billy Graham, one of the greatest evangelical revivalists of the mid-20th Century.

I for one hope that Trump decides to stay and fight until he is finally dragged out inot the street.

The last thing I want is a dignified exit that allows him any gravitas.

Let Trump be Trump, and maybe some of his people will finally see him for the clownish manbaby he has always been.

The Mega-churches are completely shallow and without substance. Entertainment. But they enable people to feel self-righteous about going to a show and working themselves into a frenzy.

there actually is a chain of mega-churches in my conservative little county that offers branded swag (even the nursery diapers), a cash barista bar, and karaoke-style lyrics projected on a mega-screen.

It’s funny, all the commentary about what happens in churches from people who haven’t seen the inside of a church in decades. The media has sold you on “hate” like it’s an intoxicating drug. There is very, very little hate going on in the real world. It’s all online and anonymous.

Truth is most evangelicals are only Christain so they don’t have to take responsibility for their sins.

Science suggests that after the Big Bang, god smoked a cigarette, rolled over, went to sleep, and hasn’t been heard from since.

An alternative theory is that the Big Bang was the event that occurred just before the gleam in your father’s eye faded.

However, the Bibble teaches that he woke up, knocked up a poor carpenter’s fiancé, convinced the locals that it was a virgin birth, and then threw his illegitimate son under the bus when he turned out to be a liberal. The locals testified that the son appeared to them after his death, a story that perseveres to this day, often as images on the crusts of toasted cheese sandwiches.

God has strong Republican CEO core values…(Banana Republicans have no values whatever…)

And since when do Republican values have anything to do with Christianity?

A “values-free church” isn’t such a stretch – too many churchgoers already forget the sermon and live their lives values-free as soon as they leave the church, and assume that it won’t matter what they do as long as they come back to church some time and pretend to ask forgiveness…

We have, on occasion, had a “leftover” keg of beer or bottle of wine available for refreshment after services, in the Unitarian Fellowship I am a member of. And non-“worship” events are often “lubricated” with adult beverages.

I hear some Christians drink wine every week as part of their religious observances.

It’s only the Evilgelical churches that are so puritanical (not to mention hypocritical, judging from their personal lives) about alcohol.
