With all of the nagging Robo-calls, stacks of mail enticers, and more radio ads than music… it is feeling like a choice between two Demons! Heaven will be somewhere around Next Week when the most we get is – news reports about the courts claiming how the laws suits are going!
…and the devil is in the details, e.g., ouch, ouch you didn’t say it would be this hot, I was just trying to escape those wretched Boston winters…. Gimme me a break.
It is not just undecided voters, there are also brain dead voters. My wife was listening to an interview… While I object to ‘news’ stories which are ‘talking heads’ – telling us what to think instead of presenting facts, I am equally put off by interview segments where they find the dumbest idiot on the street and ask their opinion. Who cares? But, to return, to the interview my wife heard, “I hope Biden is elected, but I’m voting for Trump.”
We have been given the choice between two Satans by the two major parties. One nasty, churlish guy that screws us over logistically and appearance-wise; one nice, smiling, senile old dolt that will usher in a Socialist-leaning replacement that would destroy our economic future.
Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting to condone evil.
Put a check mark next to each SOCIALIZED service from which you personally or some member of your immediate family has benefitted. Then go back and circle the Xes next to the ones you’re willing to live without, trusting to the private sector to provide it if you ever need it:
He’s always the biggest and best:The biggest liar (why don’t conservatives care that he is a huge liar?)The Most incompetent – Coronavirus handling anyone? The Best swamp – Only put in place unqualified stooges to do your biddingAnd the list goes on…
What’s perturbing is so many Americans, citizens of one of the, if not the, most advanced country on earth, have willingly and eagerly grabbed a dull, rusty spoon and spooned out their brains just to be with “daddy god emperor”
I would feel a lot more engaged in voting if it wasn’t for the fact that the “Electoral College” has the only votes that count and they don’t have to vote the way the people of the state do.
I think, at this point, there are a lot of people who’ve invested deeply in tRump. Who’ve argued and denied but have finally seen the damage he’s caused. And now must decide: double down or correct their past mistake. It’s hard to admit you were wrong. tRump’s style of pushing people to extremes, makes it hard to come back.
If are undecided and just look at what has gone down this past week and still cannot make a decision between Biden & Trump, then you should immediately seek medical attention because there is something physically or mentally wrong with you.
I thought the choice was pretty clear too. If you want a nice, feeble old man ( with the onset of dementia) that every country in the world will take advantage of and his party that claims to “unite” us by creating divisions along race, religion, gender, economics and every other conceivable issue then Joe is your man. Or you can vote for the man that proved how to grow the economy, make us energy independent, renegotiated bad trade deals, took on China for their illegal actions, got NATO to pay their share for the defense of Europe, established peace treaties in the Middle East where no one could before and is in the process of bringing our troops home. Is there really a choice?
A politician dies and appears before St. Peter. Pete looks at him and shakes his head. He says “I’m not sure how you got here because most politicians go straight to hell, but since you’re here, I suppose we have to deal with you.” The rules say you have to spend a day in Hell and a day in Heaven, and then decide where you want to spend eternity. Politician says “OK. Let me try Hell first”. Woosh, he is in hell, and sees all his friends there, laughing it up and partying, and having a gay old time. He joins them until it is time to go. Woosh, he is back in Heaven. Everyone looks bored, playing their harp and just hanging around. So he spends some time there, and comes away unimpressed. Woosh, he is back before St. Peter. St. Peter says “well, where do you want to go?” Politician says “well, I hate to say this, but Hell looks pretty good, so I think I’ll go there”. Woosh, he is back in Hell. This time, everybody is looking miserable and hammering on flaming rocks, with devils beating them with whips. A devil comes over to the politician to take him to his place among the rock, and he says to the devil “Yesterday, everyone looked so happy, why is today different?”.
Devil says “Yesterday we were campaigning, today you voted.”
I’m actually more impressed that there are two people talking in a single panel NS strip. Since they have to be composed for strip and panel formats, this rarely happens.
One thing I noticed. In these 280-something comments I saw nary one that mentioned Amy Barrett’s appointment to the Supreme Court. I thought there would be some quantity of respondents commenting about the possibility of overturning Roe v Wade. If it were overturned and abortion again outlawed in many states, the resultant illegal abortion trade (most in healthy treatment clinics) would make prohibition look law abiding by comparison.

A situation of national significance arises. It lands on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. What is the president’s initial reaction?
• George H. W. Bush: “What is the decent thing to do?”
• Bill Clinton: “What is the friendly thing to do?”
• George W. Bush: “What is the expedient thing to do?”
• Barack Obama: “What is the right thing to do?”
• Donald Trump: “What is the profitable thing to do?”

A sucka and a lewser who cannot figure out that there’s nothing in it for him. AKA very GULLible.

An undecided voter on Nov 2nd:
A GULLible who can tell you every score from Sunday’s games or the names of everyone on the panel of judges for all of those inane “talent” shows.
