I remember seeing a joust in wester England years ago, one of those renn-fest things but held in the grounds of a real ruined castle- which adds a certain level of authenticity- and the jousters could really get up to speed. One man was knocked off but didn’t clear both feet from the stirrups-just like rodney.he got a broken leg for his troubles.
I imagine a certain amount of “Artistic License” is necessary to keep Sir Rodney identifiable. The Black Knight is certainly much better equipped for jousting.

My mind was thinking…
“I’m not fond of wrestling. And spoofs on wrestling – even less.”
“That ‘Black’ Knight looks too shiny. Guess he hasn’t been in too many battles.”
“Delusion – no way Sir Rodney would ever win at anything.”
“Yep… he didn’t even ‘Win’ at a chance at an Honorable Memorial.”

Should have known this was all in Rodneys head. I don’t see the Fink putting up a colosseum for any sports.

Dreams are nice. How else could Rodney beat the fierce Black Knight?

Not for nothing, but why wasn’t Rodney, being a knight, wearing a helmet?

Rodney’s weapon looks shorter than the Black Knight’s.
