Poor little fellow was trying to be good and now he is thinking he is looking at a lump of coal come XMas morning. He looks like he is about to burst into tears. Reminds of a room mate I had in my last year of grad school when his Auburn Tigers were stopped at the one inch line toward the end of an Iron Bowl vs Bama in ’94. Guy was the biggest Auburn fan I have ever met, he looked just like Puck after that 4th down stop by the Tide…
Lupin’s cute little pink tongue stopped in mid-wash. I love it when cats get distracted while washing and leave their tongue out. Our long-departed Dusty used to do that. “Dusty! Put your tongue in!”
Puck needs to take a tip from today’s Ten Cats comic. Have the human sign a waiver that reads “Cats are not responsible for anything that may or may not have happened.”
That slight (darkened) emphasis on Puck’s name makes me think the Woman is astonished – Astonished, I tell you – that the spillage could have been done by the sweetest, black tripod kitty.
National Christmas Tree Day: Talk about “cultural appropriation!” The use of evergreen trees in midwinter festivals precedes Christianity by millennia. However, “cultural appropriation” is not necessarily a bad thing. In this case, the symbology is so universal as to defy any notion of “ownership.”
For those of you who think cats and Christmas trees are problematic: https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/03/asia/koala-christmas-tree-australia-scli-intl/index.html
Take It in the Ear Day: Which is pretty eerie, as no one seems to know who started it, why, or what the phrase means. At least that’s what I heard from a grape vine. Perhaps it was someone trying to weaponize ear worms.
National Brownie Day: So be particularly nice to yours, as it is their day. In addition to the normal dish of milk, make them a tray of brownies—they like chocolate, too! I’m sure they won’t mind if you sample a few, either. They are indeed gentle fey.
Pretend To Be a Time Traveler Day: Whovians, rejoice! Those of us too familiar with the Laws of Thermodynamics will hide and try to ignore you, or we may wind up standing here beside ourselves.
When a cat wants to, they become jello. Unfortunately the jelly bones aren’t in Puck’s favour. Poor Pucky, with all the good deeds you’ve done this year there’s no way Santa can put you on the naughty list
In my case I would agree. Although my dog rarely does anything wrong I could tell just by the look in his eyes. My two cats would never “spill the beans” by the look on their face. Just their promiscuity to the said mess, which is usually under a bed.
“He tried. That’s the big thing. He tried to do the best he could with what God gave him. He should get a nice raise for trying so hard.”― Kurt Vonnegut

Puckmosis: I’m sorry, Elvis-Anum! It was an accident!
Elvis-Anum: What accident? What are you talking about?
Puckmosis: Your desk. I was trying to straighten up and knocked over an inkwell!
Elvis-Anum: My desk is just fine. Funny, this inkwell was half empty when I last used it.
Puckmosis: I would have said half full.
Elvis-Anum: You would say that. But now it’s completely full. And what’s this folded piece of papyrus?
Puckmosis: It looks like an origami cat.
Elvis-Anum: Was there origami in Egypt?
Puckmosis: There is now. But what’s going on here?

It’s the most horrible time of the year
When a cat’s try to save juice is
A pain in the caboose that causes such fear
It’s the most worrisome time of the year
It’s the dar-darkest-y season of all
With too much suspensing and bad luck dispensing but
If Puck get his ball then (never mind)
It’s the hap-happiest season of all

And what have you done
A glass is tipped over
And worry just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you don’t run
’Twas not your fault, dear one
No tart had you flung
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fears
