I went Christmas caroling with some neighbors once when we were young teenagers. We went through town, ringing doorbells, then doing a couple songs, wishing the people a merry Christmas and then we went on to the next house. At one house, a girl said, “Let’s not stop t this house. I heard the lady who lives here is mean”. But we decided to stop anyway and we sang and wished her a merry Christmas and she was so happy and pleased – not mean at all. It made us all feel so good that we made her so happy. We were not the greatest of singers, but people all seemed happy that we stopped by.
No Christmas Carolers at your door this Christmas 2020 thanks to the COVID pandemic, you will have to listen to Christmas Carolers via virtural ZOOM video or something like that.
HMmm I used to look forward to this strip but not for long with this line of thinking. Don’t think this is really funny. Enough gloom and negitive in this world laltey with out having in the funny papers.

Glad that the other reason why there may not have been carolers wasn’t brought up…

He’s obviously jealous because he can’t carry a tune.

I must have had a sheltered youth…I never had a Geezer yell at me about his lawn.

Now we know that Earl’s selective hearing is tuned into the key of the song being sung.

Plus, they flat-out refuse to do requests. Like ‘Smoke On The Water’.

If you squint you can see them coming with their high school marching band playing mariachi music.
