“Everyone” has drunk the koolaid about breakfast. In fact, a very light breakfast seems to be ideal for most people under most circumstances. One exception is for people who do hard physical labor… as most residents of the USA used to do when we were a mainly agricultural nation.
It’s supposedly all those carbs that make you groggy. Pancakes always make me want to take a nap—but with blueberries and loads of real maple syrup how can i resist.
According to many sources, breakfast should be geared around your plans for the day. Less morning physical work scheduled? Reduce the intake a bit. Or the reverse: more work = more fuel. Same for lunch and afternoon schedule. A moderate dinner/supper makes for easier digestion during the TV/PC hours before bed time. I.E. the answer has always involved planning and moderation. Yes, not always possible but it is a target that is always there.
“More clear”? The term is “clearer”. In a strip that contains so much activity in a school setting, it would seem the author might contribute to the use of proper grammar. Our language has become butchered with terms such as “10:00am in the morning” (am stands for morning); "you’ve (I’ve, we’ve, they’ve) got (to) something (noun or verb). “Have got” is gibberish. “Return back”. Huh? Isn’t returning the act of going back? “These ones”; it’s “these” or “those”, period. “Like…”; for some people, “like” is their every third or fourth word. “You know…”; If I know, why are you telling me this?

I have pancakes or waffles for supper, when I’m awake enough to enjoy them. Fruit on the side makes them healthy.

Kid’s confused. Supper is not breakfast. Breakfast is what you eat in the morning (whatever it is).
