At least for now, Tara is still with us. Good. And the Luann haters who condemned her for not immediately rushing over to rescue Tara will now condemn her for yelling at Tara, naturally…
Ahora a esperar a que llegue la ambulancia, y Luann y Bernice deben implorar para que no llegue también la prensa y aparezcan en la nota roja, para que se arme un gran escándalo más de lo ya sea en cuanto se enteren Nancy y Frank.
Good for Luann! As I said yesterday, no one (at least not me) expected her to start giving Tara a complete physical, or try to pull her to her feet, or anything of that sort. But she could do what she just did——check on Tara, make sure she’s still breathing, conscious, and just stay with her.
Of course, some readers will now claim Tara is crippled for life because Luann reached out and barely touched her on the shoulder……
I’m happy Tara is alive and it appears won’t be too badly hurt. One thing I don’t understand is why would she stand in front of Stella’s car when she knew she was a dangerous whack job and could be crazy enough to drive her down?? And how was Tara close enough to Stella to be trying karate moves on her and yet so far away that Stella could get in her car without being tackled by Tara?? Hmmmm.. Well, at least Luann finally did the right thing and checked on Tara.
Remember Luann, first do no harm. Glad to see that Bernie and Luann sprang into action and that Tara still possesses her sense of humor. I’m telling you, Toni and Brad are on the engine coming to the rescue!
She"s alive! GnK had us going. This ought to put rest all the negative comments about any or all the girls, but it won’t. There are so many ways this can go, but for now thankful she indeed is alive, asmost thought, hopefully she stays around as a character, and Luann is a standup young woman, Bernice is actually a very caring young woman. Tara is a tough edgy young woman who is troubled by forces that are almost unimaginable but is a good person, wanting friends, including warm, forgiving Luann, and stalwart, understanding Bernice. That is classic Luannverse healing. Keep that in mind as the arc’s further develop. The three Amigos.
Tara on panel 1 seems to have red hair, another coloring mishap perhaps? Also, I’m beginning to notice Greg Evans has the gift of making us earn the sympathy and/or come to love and appreciate newly introduced characters, even if we had any issues with them at first, it all goes away once we see their true humanity, and I love it; so, thank you Greg!
Poor Luann. It’s no wonder she does not know whether to sh!t or go blind in these situations. Yesterday I was mocking her for doing nothing, and today G&K (did I get that right?) are mocking her for actually doing something.
Sorry, kid. You can’t win for losing in the place you consider reality.
looks like Tara will be modeling hospital gowns for a while. I hope Stella has the legitimate money to pay for this, other wise it’s the county hospital for Tara.
YES! TARA IS ALIVE! Hurt but alive! After being freezed by fear, Luann finally manages to recover and starts running to check on her friend! This is such an amazing strip, full of action and emotions♡! I love every single panel of it♡. I honestly think if the story was jump at this point without the previous two strips, the impact of this one would have been less powerful. Like a pause in music. Amazing!
A. Knew she’d be alive. B.the whole thing lasted a few seconds. Get off her back for not moving @super human speed. 3. Tara could still be in trouble for not reporting Stella to the police, even for some of Stella’s crimes…
If Stella is ever caught and charged with a crime, her case will be a lot weaker because there are no other witnesses. The mental midgets Luann and Bernice turned away and didn’t watch as Tara was run over.
If Tara was standing just a 6 inches (or maybe a foot) from the bumper of the accelerating car, there could have been a serious blow to her leg(s) in addition to her head smacking hard on the windshield (as she was thrown onto the hood). So she may have leg fracture as well as head injury. But we can be glad that she is conscious and able to communicate.
Hoping that Tara is going to have a full recovery. Now it’s time for Luann to grow up and admit that everything she did was WRONG. She needs to do some serious soul searching on her motives and actions. Wanting to do something risky has almost killed a friend and enabled a robbery at her parents business. If there is no punishment or they treat her like a hero I am going to puke.
At least she’s still alive. But methinks the girls have got a LOT of explaining to do…to the cops, to the parents, to the fire department… I can’t think of a time when GnK actually killed somebody off. But Tara might indeed have a concussion or some other injury. Perhaps we’ll be treated to a month or so of Tara in the hospital…
“If it makes you feel any better, Bernice and I didn’t even see it happen. We were looking in the opposite direction when the car struck you. In fact, Bernice still isn’t looking at you.”
Luann is the best arc on the web this week. With Tara talking in complete sentences, I assume she doesn’t have a concussion. Though swelling may occur later. (Don’t ask how I know all this.)
The cops are going to show up and take statements. They’ll find out that Tara was illegally living in the Fuse. Nancy and Frank might lose their license, and since Luann left the door open so Stella could get in, the insurance company will likely deny any claim they make since it was negligence on their part.
Not to mention Luann’s parents will most likely have to pay Tara’s medical bills, because nobody else is going to be able to.
And that doesn’t even get into the fact that Luann gave Tara, someone she doesn’t really know all that well and who has a history of criminal behavior, a key to the Fuse without her parents’ knowledge or consent.

Ah-Ha.
So Tara didn’t die. Splendid.
Didn’t think the Evans Crew would kill her off just as she was getting really interesting.
Any character that can bounce off the hood of a speeding car and still crack jokes while bleeding internally is A-Ok, in My book.
So.
If Tara doesn’t head to Utah after she’s released from the hospital, I wonder what sort of “living arrangements” will be made for her?
At the DeGroots? The Farrell Mansion? Or the Gulag? ;)

Tara wishlist with most likely a zero possibility of ever happening:
1. We still get the hospital underwear joke.
2. This is a life changing event.
It was once said that a well written character would want to slap the face of their author if they ever met in reality.
So…
Tara has a broken ankle and also at least one internal injury. She can now never have children.
Les, upon hearing this, makes a totally inappropriate comment.
Instead of slapping him in the face, Tara kicks him in the groin.
With the leg with the cast, rebreaking her ankle.
As she is whisked back to the hospital, she was heard to mutter under her breath,
“Totally worth it.”
