I see that it’s “only an oatmeal box”, and the kids are just having some “harmless fun”, but isn’t that still leprechaun harassment? He is small and they are trying to trap him. We all know what can happen to things children get ahold of. Considering he’s had to put up with this all his life, is it really such an overreaction? I think the children should also apologize and promise to stop their own bad behavior towards leprechauns. That seems more fair, and good basis for a better relationship in the future.
Boot, 3rd wall, sock, hat snatch, daffodil on head, epaulets,…today’s strip wins the prizes for “most detail,” “awesomest detail,” and “most times I scrolled back after I’d studied panels and thought I’d seen everything but a commenter caught something else.” Totally deserves engraving all that on the trophy.
Seamus was really trying to tell her it wasn’t him. That he was framed. And he’s right. The vile raccoons didn’t get their war, but they did get away with impersonating leprechauns.

I like Granny Bitty’s style … that daffodil on her head makes for a wonderful fascinator …

Oh, that shameless,Seamus! I see a wee boot flying in first panel…..The teeny tiny little heart above the Girl’s head in last panel is darling touch!

At least he snatched his hat back. I’ve heard of breaking the fourth wall, but did a leprechaun shoe break the third wall in the first panel?

I wondered why Baba and Granny Bitty and Natasha get along so well. Now we know: they are three of a kind.
I may have lost track, but I think we are up to about four million named characters.

Well that settled the question of what kind of box one uses for a leprechaun trap.

Georgia’s detailed art work is really fantastic. For instance in panel two Seamus’ open mouth shows his teeth and tongue. Very realistic.

And in the final frame Grandma seems to be wearing a daffodil in her hair.

Jim Croce: You Don’t Mess Around With Jim
Seamus has his pot of gold
The kids have their oatmeal box
They mean no harm, but there is alarm
Seamus has had enough of his hard knocks
Yeah, he’s tired of them stealing all his gold
They think it’s all in good fun
And when Seams goes to give them what for
He gets it right back from his mum!
…….
And we all know
You don’t mess with the robber mice
You don’t terrorize the kids
You don’t throw your shoe straight through the next panel
And you don’t mess with Baba and Bit!

Ooooh! She’s gotten both ears! One in panel 2 and the other in panel 3. Granny is plenty peeved at yon Shameus. He’s never going to live this down.
I also note that Natasha is a very solid presence, especially in panel 5!

So this whole story was just an excuse to use the line “You shame us, Seamus.”
Worth it? Hmm, maybe.

Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale
a tale of a fateful trip
that started in a big pink house
told in an awesome strip
The tale has a grumpy faerie man
with two mice brave and sure
Scared children shrieked in fear that day
behind a locked-shut door
behind a locked door
’Tasha & Vi started getting rough
the tiny man was tossed
And thanks to the courage of that fearless two
his wallet would be “lost”
his wallet would be “lost”
So this was the tale of the leprechaun
been here for a long, long time
He’ll have to make amends for things
It’s an uphill climb
The chocolates and apologies
while dressed in his Sunday best
will make the others comfortable
and fulfill his Ma’s “request”
So come back here next year my friends
you’re sure to get a smile
from rainbows and wee leprechauns and
more from the Emerald Isle!

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Agnes-Ata: Well, here’s the path back to Eirenan. Safe travels and see ya again.
Trish: Thanks. It’s been quite a trip. And we made some new friends.
Ta-Natash: And don’t forget which rainbow you treasure is at.
Trish: No worries. And I think we have yet to meet the most royal treasure: Queen Catshepsut the Golden.
Duffy: And I’d like to visit with Lupinium to trade stories.
Trish: I think we’d best be going before there’s more mischief.
Alice-Ata, Agnes-Ata, Ta-Natash, and Violet-Ifa: So long! Don’t forget to write!
