Surely without sight there will still be beauty; besides, especially in your case, I find it best to keep my eyes closed, so as not to spoil the view. :P
Kilig may also be defined as that mountain top, floating, on cloud nine, invincible, i-could-keep-smiling, heart aching goodness and feeling which overpowers the mind’s ability to think straight, act straight, breathe properly and articulate thoughts into a single comprehensible sentence.
Still images (photos, drawings, paintings, sculptures) may only show the architecture and costuming of the stage, and very little of the actual living performance. The energy, quality and depth of a person’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual intelligence can create interest, attraction, and admiration (beauty) that depends relatively little on what that person looks like in a picture.
I wonder if this sentiment found its way into Kant’s thinking about the perception of beauty. He ascribed it to a “moral feeling.” Haply, Hegel harrumphed.
Mostly subjective, and a matter of taste. I think spiders are beautiful, while most people recoil at them. You can’t teach a computer the meaning of “beauty” because there’s no single set of rules describing it — everyone and every culture has their own standards. No picture can express it because the beauty is inside of you, the viewer, and how you interpret that picture.

What about things that are so f’ing ugly (fugly) that they are actually rather beautiful or amazing. What’s the word for that?

Words are so often inadequate. A picture is worth a thousand words. What is worth a thousand pictures?

If they didn’t want them confused, then they should not have used a “seven” to name both of them.
