That drone would be a recipe for lots of broken stuff in my household. I wonder who breaks something first in the BCN household? I would guess that Lupin will be the front running favorite!
Violet-Ifa: We sure did. Here is Hilary from Afar’s scroll about the Great Pyramid: (Reading)
“King Katfre wanted me to put in a two-chariot garage, an expanded sun room, and a luxury litter room with running water. He also wanted a huge library on the second floor. I was able to give him most of what he wanted, but the running water proved problematical. Meanwhile David Visiting found a pyramid near the Afar Oasis that provided a fountain and other amenities. The King was faced with the dilemma: Are you gonna love it? or Are You gonna list it?”
Lupinium: It says the question became moot when the Oasis pyramid was hit by Sandstrom. Is he a Viking or something?
Elvis-Anum: That’s sandstorm, you goof!
Adobe Style: I’ve been to the Local Oasis several times. I’ve never seen evidence of a pyramid there.
Enter Broom-Sweepa
Broom-Sweepa: You know, my husband Bristle has mentioned his great grandfather was working on a construction project that was stopped for some reason.
Lupinium: Sounds like we have some exploring to do!
That’s very funny. Here’s hoping Lupin is not disappointed.
It reminds me of a similar funny cartoon from Gary Larson of the Far Side, where a spider has spread his webbing accross a child’s slide at a park.
https://imgur.com/gallery/4DqHp
He also makes the remark, “If we pull this off, we eat like Kings!”
Of course poor Gary was not as expressive an artist, and the cats just add so much more to it. I also love the look of the children’s drone, it’s appropriate for small children – very different from the adult hobby drones.
The aerial drone will guide the self-aware vacuum and other automaton. The family is, well, you know, doomed.
Speaking of doomed. I am embarking on the hardest portion of our kitchen remodel project this weekend. I have been laying a new hardwood floor throughout the first floor for the past month. But this weekend, I rip out the cabinets and countertops and replace them with the new ones that we have chosen. The old cabinets and countertops are 47 years old. The countertops have that dated speckle pattern, so popular in the early 70s, and they have burn marks where Mom had set hot pots down over the years. None of the doors on the cabinets stay closed anymore, and when you look at them, the doors are different heights because the hinges are shot.
You might wonder why it has taken a month to put down the hardwood floor? Well, I will tell you. I can only work on it on the weekend, and after several hours using the nailer, all the joints in my arms, shoulders, and hands are aching because of arthritis. I haven’t done a gut and remodel of a kitchen for over ten years since I closed my remodeling company. It is disheartening to realize you cannot do the work like you use to anymore. Furthermore, I have not been able to continue writing the next Giblet & Belle book and that annoys me.
I will be glad when this (LAST) remodel is done. Oh, I will continue to tinker around the house and perhaps work on our upstairs bathroom where the tile is popping up, but this is the last full kitchen I am going to do. Physically, I just don’t have it in me anymore, and a pox on that.
Is there significance to the name “Destry Home Hearth”? Which by the way I read as Destroy Home Hearth and wondered why anyone would allow that into their abode.
The Nana’s generosity with technology has overwhelmed the Woman. Of course, I’d also be a little intimidated to suddenly have so many new potential overlords introduced into my home. Is the Nana working for the Revolution, perchance?
Somehow, from the look on the Man’s face, I don’t think the Boy and Girl are going to get to play with the drone. And Elvis may be the one to take it out, in self-defense.
I find it hard to believe that anything with “rotating blades” is cat-safe. Stick with the remote control mouse. If you take off they shell, they move fast enough to interest cats. Plus, you have a new hobby: digging cat hairs out of the axles. (Anything with helium in it stops working in a few days. Helium leaks through everything, even glass.)

Fortunately, the mice steal the drone before it can be destroyed and start their own delivery service.

Oh, fly me a drone where the kitty cats roam
Where ’bots work and People do play
Where the drone can be heard chirpin’ just like a bird
And the floors are not hairy all day
Home, home is so strange
Where cats and mice act often cray cray
Where Lupin zooms while the new Ro Voom vrooms
And the Woman’s not tired all day
