I gave a cutout of Frank Bartles and Ed Jaynes (the wine cooler guys) to a friend for his rec room. He left it in the hallway, and the next morning at breakfast his son noticed two figures standing in the hall…and cereal went everywhere.
The former boss of a friend bought a very lifelike infant doll and strapped it into a car seat and fooled many police people until one day when she was pulled over by a female trooper. The trooper asked to see the baby. The fine and subsequent suspended license for the fraud/obstruction of justice were more severe than they would have been if she had been driving alone. Getting fired from her job was just icing on the cake.
On top of the fine and license suspension, just think of the humiliation and ridicule when the pictures of you and your “passenger” are posted on social media by the cops. Every time I see one of these jerks I have to laugh at the stupidity of them all.
I remember back in about 2005, the local hardware store had a life size cardboard cutout of Donald Trump in an aisle, as at the time he was spokesman for some product, I have no recollection of what. Now this was way pre-Trump presidency and had nothing whatsoever to do with politics. A few months later I remember seeing it out back, probably in the cardboard recycling area. I briefly thought of taking it, and then thought why in the hell would I want that? It had nothing to do with politics of course, I just thought he was a rich goofball. Still, it would have been interesting to have in later years!

Hello $240 ticket. State cops have no sense of humor.

I’ve always wanted one of those.

Unless that cutout has a profile, it’s not going to do much good in the HOV lane.

Here a cardboard cutout does not qualify as a passenger and would get you a $260 fine for driving in the high occupancy lane.

Better than weekend commuting with Bernie. The smell would get pretty bad real quick
