I can sort of understand the sculptor falling in love with his own creation – he basically carved his own porn. But why is the statue so hot to lock lips with a guy who’s been living in his art studio for the past two weeks as he sculpted at the behest of his gonads? He probably hasn’t showered in all that time.
His love morphed cold ivory to flesh, / and lewdly their lips did he mesh. / But the change, incomplete, / left this Gal with cold feet. / She slugged him for being so fresh. /// She tried, but she couldn’t escape, / as hands glided over her shape. / Quite soon he might see a / charge from Galatea: / attempting statuary rape. /// Pygmalion rethought his attack, / and slowly unhanded her rack. / A small cloud-borne putto / flashed him il cornuto / and fired a shaft in his back.
We can’t take our eyes off her “seat”/ M. Gerome has performed quite a feat ./ Galatea’s a lass/ whose alluring “crevasse”/ has surely soiled many a sheet (…but what’s with that fish at her feet ?)
It wasn’t Pygmalion’s fault/ he committed felonious assault/ his behavior was horr’ble/ but she lured him with marble/ when he had grown used to basalt..(granite, he could have shown more control !)
“Heaven… I’m in heaven,And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak. And I seem to find the happiness I seek, When we’re out together dancing cheek to cheek.”……….Okay, so I’m no Fred Astaire, but you’re no Ginger Rogers!
I think Cupid has switched up the ammo for his bow – there’s no way that’s just you run of the mill ‘fall in love’ arrow. That sucker is laced with some serious LSD!
GALATEA: Hey buddy. Come ‘ere. Next time you put me out in the sun, I’d either like the burka to include the head cover or I’d like a French Bikini. This face-only tan is embarrassing.

Frank was always grateful he had a statue on which to practice his kissing before he went out on a date.

If I’d known that the statue was going to come to life, I’d have given it bigger breasts.

So, little man of flesh, you think you have the stones to make it with a statue? Can you be hard as a rock? Well, can you?

I know our mythic history, King Arthur’s and Sir Caradoc’s;
I answer hard acrostics, I’ve a pretty taste for paradox,
I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus,
In conics I can floor peculiarities parabolous;
I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Dows and Zoffanies,
I know the croaking chorus from The Frogs of Aristophanes!
Then I can hum a fugue of which I’ve heard the music’s din afore,
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore.

Well, not much I can do for him now … might as well paint them as they are.
