Wouldn’t ‘return her to the priestess of Pahnahluk,’ been enough? We can assume the guard is orthodox and attends services at the ‘goddess of the pillar of life’ church on a regular basis… Would the guard even need the ‘of Pahnahluk’? Wouldn’t ‘take her back’ really be enough? I think the queen is addressing the reader rather than the guard.

(This is an example of what is termed discovery. And why so many old detective stories had a Watson of some sort. Someone to whom the detective could explain things for the sake fo the readers.)

I’m surprised they haven;t already been killed after what West said to her grimly yesterday.

Here’s ol’ hairy smelly M’lunga again, more hair, more smell doing this mysterious Queen’s bidding. I wonder if he’ll bring only Tarzan to Merala’s boudior for a bit of fun? These jungle queens are all hot for Tarzan….if you were a queen wouldn’t you be as well…….?

“When you have rested, M’Lunga will bring you to me,” declared Merala. “And then, let the wild rumpus start!”
