It’s not clear in this drawing, but Williams’s nails were (are, in the museum) intricately decorated, which apparently took huge amounts of time and nail polish. For a self-proclaimed nail artist, having your nails permanently in a museum display must be pretty great.
Also, if you think lightning never strikes the same place twice, talk to the people who maintain the lightning rods of skyscrapers. The Empire State building gets struck about twice a month!
Lightning can strike the same place more than twice.
“The Empire State Building is struck by lightning about 20 to 25 times each year, on average, said Martin Uman, a lightning expert at the University of Florida in Gainesville.”
I knew a lady who worked at a Walmart who also had very long nails. She too decorated them. I always found her to be a very nice person. Her long nails were unusual, though.
I know it’s good to let wild animals live in the wild, but…Juliet seems lonely? That little heart suggests she has a crush on one of those zoo birds. It’s like Romeo and Juliet.
So basically, she did nothing for best part of a quarter century. That I can believe.
Recent news items shows lightning only has to hit at just the right moment to take out dozens of people. A second shot would would just add to the total.
So, they’re supporting a dating service for a bird? Hope they give him a little spa time between events.
This is for you, Steve. The next night the same guy leaves the bar staggering and falls into his car and drives away. He’s all over the road and is pulled over by the same cop who walks up to the car, smells his breath and says “Sir you are in no condition to drive!” The guys says “well I’ll tell ya thish…I’m certainly in no condition ta walk!” I’m gonna walk away now…….if I can!
People who grow their nails like that would face SO many inconveniences— bathing, toileting, cooking, and eating, to name a few— that you have to wonder about what kinds of underlying motivations sustaining that choice.
