Nicely done by the “Cat-child” Beatrix and you are correct, Great Boot was really cool! It’s good to see Magnet fondly remembering how her Dad used to talk to her. It seems like no matter how old we get, or how long our parents may have been gone, we always remember the way they would say things to us and some of the special occasions that were associated with them. Good memories as Mag is experiencing in the last panel. Great way to end July! See you next year Jules.

I know how you feel, Mag. So many things my Dad did that drove me NUTS…and I would oh so love to have him be able to do them again.

This arc left me in tears every morning, but what a wonderful arc it is. Thank you, Georgia. Brilliant.

I think I see tears welling up in Old Mag’s eyes in the last panel, remembering her Dad.

This has been a wonderful story and I hate to see it end! July is over, summer will soon be gone. For kids around here, it’ll be gone in about a week. Doesn’t anybody wait until after Labor Day to start school anymore?

I love how this ended with an out-of-the-blue (as far as Mag knows) compliment from Beatrix, triggering memories and emotions, and a smile, in Mag. And, rather unexpectedly, triggering some memories of my own dad, who was THE coolest dad ever — though I may a bit biased. Then there’s the wonderful mystique added to Jules’ story, who has been revealed as sort of an eternal “He Who Bumps Into Things.” Loved it. Thanks, Georgia! And on to August!

OT: Georgia posted this on facebook “Eight years ago I shared a series of photos I took showing Elvis helping Pucky to clean (and sometimes scratch) his ear/face on the side of his body missing a hind foot. Elvis still helps Puck do this. The power of love!” The pictures are also on Instagram. However, not really necessary. The words say it all. Grumpy old Elvis has been caring for Puck since Puck was a kitten.

Sometimes poor hearing is a blessing. :)

And yet she staged a coup when the vile raccoon king decided to declare the sky neutral.

Beatrix wasn’t being disrespectful! And Mag considered it an echo of what her father said in years past.
