Looks like Arlo was dissatisfied with the tip split when he was her busboy! 8^ )

Love the way they answer together. When the wife and myself are similarly being peppered with questions we also have overlapping responses.

An old joke but as good as a dad/bad joke.

Why did they need their parents help for just a short time?

I hate that they are leaving so soon.

Talk about a coincidence. Nearly the same day that this story arc began, we went out of state to help our son and daughter-in-law. Today, as the arc appears to be wrapping up, we are about to leave for home.

Is anyone else in the same coincidence?

I am sorry to see this arc end, but all things must pass.

Janis is cute in the last panel.

I was a busboy, waiter and eventually restaurant manager early in my career. Different restaurants have different rules on tip splitting. Some do nothing (waitresses keep all they get), some put it all in a pot and split it evenly among the waitresses and other staff members (cooks, hostess, busboys, etc). In some places the smart waitress’s will voluntarily give the busboys a cut and the busboys (also not being idiots) clean those waitresses’ tables faster so they can get another customer and tip and another split for the busboy.

Oh, back home. I like the ones with the kids better.

As I said when this arc started – they would not accept payment from the kids.

Sigh! So many people don’t understand her ‘tip’ and have sold into the teeth of the current bear market.
