There are current members of congress and right wing personality’s telling people not to trust the government and big pharma while they themselves are vaccinated.

That is correct the right is so desperate to make Biden a failure that they are willing to let people die by saying something they themselves already have taken is dangerous.

Just like in the original broadcast, there are those who are rewriting the words to suit them selves.

Gotta wonder. Time was when a public health crisis struck, folks were all for the eventual solution. The last real threat to the general population was during the polio scare in the 1950’s, when a shot saved so many of us who were in school then. We lined up to take the shots and almost no one argued about it. The fear was real and widespread and its after effects remained with our parents and with us for decades

So, the question is, has the family survival instinct faded to such an extent that we can no longer comprehend the possibility that something like covid or worse can become an extinction event?

The US government is doing exactly what it was designed to do. It is tackling a major threat to its citizens in the best way it can. Against such a challenge, personal choice is not an option, that is, if one cares for one’s family and friends. After all, the virus doesn’t care who becomes infected. We should.

People who want to take horse medicine, off-label medications, OD on some vitamin or inject bleach are OK by me as long as they also get the vaccine.

That particular brand of stupidity doesn’t affect me. Running around as a petri dish so the virus can stay alive and thrive and make new strands, is something that hurts everyone else too.

The government is making strong recommendations for federal workers to get the vaccine, but does not make the same for staffers in the White House. I wonder why?
