Jimmy seems to be stretching out the parallel story of what happened to the Bistro and the kids response to it.

Arlo is eating food that the cat has already licked?

Ack! Did Arlo start eating the leftovers after Ludwig licked them?

If it came home in a doggie bag then you shouldn’t be feeding it to the cat.

And let us hope Luddie didn’t just lick his butt before Arlo offered him the leftovers…

Now, now, don’t hyperventilate! Arlo could have poured the juices out into Luddie’s bowl. (He probably didn’t…)

That is disgusting.

Though I’d have taken the food out of the container and placed it into a bowl and let the cat have the juices that collected on the bottom of the takeout box.

One night a few years ago I brought home a shrimp and scallop curry and had all the cats following me before I could put it into the refrigerator. It was good. No, the cats had to go without, but don’t ask about the cioppino we made a few weeks later. Or the cock-a-leekie soup I am trying to make now for Saturday night. Sometimes they can be a PITA. MMMMM, cioppino, a great soup course for winter time dinners.

Cat saliva often contains pathogens that can infect humans.

“Yum! These almonds are good, thanks.” “No problem, I don’t like them; I just licked off the chocolate coating.”

No. No. Arlo is eating the leftover THEN give the carton to the cat when he is done. When I cook fish, I give Catzilla my plate to lick when I’m done.

I eat my leftovers from the restaurant. They serve enough for 3 meals and I get 2 more meals at home. Why would Janis think the leftovers should go to the cat? What a waste.

And now he wants to kiss Janis.

Years back when I had to switch work shifts, my cat went through a stress phase of refusing to eat solid food and only licking the gravy off his canned food. I just blended it up with a splash of stock until he got passed it and started eating solid food again.

Also, I’m desperately clinging to the belief Arlo separated out the juices from the food instead of eating what the cat licked.

I see nothing surprising about this cartoon. I have seen people do much worse.
