I think I spy, with my little eye, Alice!

Alice is so brave to come looking, and to come back! For all she knows, something caught inquisitive wild mice and stuck them in cages, something she surely doesn’t want for herself, and yet she’s coming back anyway. That’s courage.

Is Alice going to help spring them from jail?!

Alice is wearing her robber stripes and mask!

That’s why her mice are not from these fields!

I wonder what that red button next to the window does? Probably nothing.

Yesterday, Jora woke up to the sound of a kitten crying on the back porch. Said kitten was loud enough for her to hear the crying all the way to the front of the house. A bit of exploration turned up a black and gray tabby around a month old. She waited to see if mom cat would show up, but all day all the kitten did was cry and sleep. This evening we decided to bring it in and give it some milk. It didn’t seem to get the idea of lapping milk or water so off to the all night Walgreen’s for a medical syringe. She’s had about 2 teaspoons of milk so far. We’ll get her some kitten milk tomorrow.

She’s a very friendly little thing, very clean and seems healthy. We set up the cat house and a kitten litter box in my bathroom to keep her separated from Database and Reboot until she gets a clean bill of health. And whew, is she a cuddle baby. we’ll keep an eye out for mama, but I suspect that Update has found a home, pending health and if the others accept her.

I always thought all four robber mice were related. I guess they joined forces with Alice and Agnes later. ⭐

Start preparing now. Don’t leave it to the last minute.

What ARE those rectangles? Food pellets? They look pretty darn hefty … I wonder if Violet/Natasha used them as slingshot ammo, would there be enough force/mass to ping that Red Button and open the cages?

I was wondering how Natasha would do in a corn maze (a maize maze?), then realized it’s all a matter of scale – she could go right between the maize stalks in the maze!

I’m loving the fact Georgia let’s us enjoy this. I know as it started, several expressed dismay at the idea of a lab. What Georgia has done is show the mice well cared for with their only problem being absolute boredom.

Ah, so Alice was looking for recruits.
