It seems that there is indeed serious damage to Smith Industries as Tracy and Sam arrive. Even the fake Space Coupe model in Smith’s museum is blown to smithereens. Briar Rose seems to have been blown clear of the security guards who wanted to detain her, so that may actually be good for her. Things on the other side of that door are likely to be considerably worse.

I love day-to-day cliffhangers. My favorite from this team is the time the Nitrates tried to kill Kandikane Lane and nearly killed Vitamin Flintheart.

So does the Alley Oop crossover start tomorrow?

Holy Wrap-up, Batman! This is like the focal point of a nuclear blast! Good-bye Diet Smith, good-bye Mysta, Ms. Rose, security guards, even good-bye Tracy and Sam! What a bang-up ending to a 90 year run!

Not what I expected, it’s better! We’re seeing where certain people were in the blast. Dick ‘n’ Sam were just arriving; Rose and the guards were in a nearby room; but we don’t know where anyone else is, yet. I thought panel 2 was Smith’s office; I’ve never seen the Moon museum. Will the explosion continue tomorrow? Will Wendy Wichel turn her wrath against Smith? What happened to Smith anyway? Tune in tomorrow…!

There are no BOOOMS, and other noises. ‘Silence’ explosions and after shocks are more impactful visually, nothing to obscure the art. Love it.

I see that Rose is handcuffed lending credence to my claim of FALSE IMPRISONMENT! Of course, now that she’s deader than Cain’s brother Abel, it doesn’t matter much.

Once again, old Diet failed to properly vet his employee. Had he done so, he would’ve seen that that guy was a member of the IRA, the Students For A Democratic Society and ISIS.

It looks like Diet should have stuck with space travel.

Three explosive panels! Even if Sam hits the brakes, it seems he and Tracy are in for a collision in panel 1 with that car fleeing the Smith Industries cataclysm! The Space Center/museum blasts off in panel 2 [coincidentally, the community college in my village in Chicagoland features a Space Center]! And the human impact is seen in panel 3, where the concussive shock wave devastates the Security office where Briar Rose is being detained, impacting the two security officers and her!

This is big, really big! We cannot yet begin to estimate the devastation that Sterling Eliot’s mistake has caused. Were any key players injured (or worse)? We need Safety Checks on Diet Smith, Goggles and Lab Lady, Mysta Chimera, and those in the Security Office, not to mention Sam and Tracy….

This is why we can’t have nice things.
