First vice president of the USA was John Adams. Re sirbadger’s comment above, (in which he said President, I realize), John Adams did not own enslaved people. Instead, the Adamses hired white and free African-American workers to provide these services. However, that did not mean that they avoided slavery altogether.
Like when the constitution states “milita”, that was then THIS IS NOW! There’s no militias with muskets marching in the streets, with a fife and drum band….
Twisting the meaning to suit one’s purpose is what the GOP does. If left up to them, we would still be living in the times of the Wild West and everyone carried a gun in their hip.
How many more childrens lives will they sacrifice for their twisted beliefs?
Any way you look at it that guy in the painting was pretty darned primitive to be a VP. I could make fun of some State by saying he was from there but I won’t.
Is the concept of comic/cartoon too complicated these days? Why does practically every one degenerate into some stupid political debate ? If you don’t find a strip funny, Ok, … please move on. Take your rant to a POLITICAL forum. You’ll be busy for hours. Btw, in case someone didn’t get it, the cartoon was about business & was in a different realm.
