That’s a very big cat. Maybe it really is a Saint Bernard in a cat suit.

The gag is funny, but so is each drawing by itself: conceived funny. Look at the cat in its first panel. You know at once that this is not a sentimental greting card, but an invitation to laugh.

Another reminder of how much better Wizard of Id used to be.

Ok, scooby-be-do-be-dooo. But I don’t see how that will make you warmer.

That cat resembles a puma, which raises the question of how they got it to wear that collar, and methinks Bung had better rethink of telling a puma to ‘Scat’…especially when this big kitty has big claws.

Guess his desperation is not very severe.

Poor cat.

If Bung were smart (Note the “IF”), he’d ride the cat out of there.
