What flirts Calvin and Susie are!

Looks like Susie studied under the tall elf, Will Farrell.

When a child, one quickly becomes an expert on snow and its capabilities to build with, sled on, and have a snowball fight.

“Quantity has a quality all it’s own.” This is a Russian quote, and it applies in most situations when you just need something to work long enough to reach your objective. Once the objective is achieved you can afford to be objective about your tools.

With an onslaught like that he’s lucky she didn’t knock off his pants.

Calvin now makes artisanal snowballs from his Brooklyn apartment.

The artist never suffers he just transfer pain to his characters.

Susie has a knack to knock down all the craftsman-like-skills and let her snowball do all the talking.

Watterson loved messing with the panel layout on Sundays so the newspapers couldn’t chop up his strip and take out the first 2 panels.

As some insurrectionist once said… “get there the fustest with the mostest.”

All that work and come the first warm day – poof! They exist no more!

As this coincides with Watterson changing the format of his Sunday strips, Calvin’s comments on making a snowball could be meta statement on his own medium.

Calvin is suffering from humiliation.

I bet chefs always wonder the same thing too. But the better question is, why make such magnificent sculptures out of food when they’re going to get eaten anyway? Why waste so much energy on something that will simply disappear forever? People can take pictures, but the real, physical art will forever be gone.

He should have skipped the “Hey Susie” part, but relative to comic books, TV shows, and movies in the 2020s, he’s not wrong.

Thed other day someone was wondering whether Calvin signs his creations by “writing his name in the snow,” but I don’t think this is what they meant…
