This comic is kind of tone deaf. I just googled blue Monday, and it started in the UK. Is mike British? If not, he may want look up the holiday we celebrate in the US on the 3rd Monday of January.
“Blue Monday is the name given to a day in January (typically the third Monday of the month) said by a UK travel company, Sky Travel, to be the most depressing day of the year. The concept was first published in a 2005 press release from the company, which claimed to have calculated the date using an “equation”. …
“Scientists have dismissed the idea as baseless pseudoscience.”
Blue Monday rolls around every year on the third Monday in January. The meaning of this day is filled with controversy because it is supposedly the saddest day of the year. Many of us find ourselves in subzero weather this time of year, looking at our post-Christmas credit card bills and realizing we might already be breaking our new year’s resolutions.
The advice given in the third block is backwards. It should read,“Not only will it be the most depressing Monday of the year, it will also be the most depressing day of the year”

It was a silly idea (look it up) that the press jumped on. Go figure. How depressing can a day off work be?

It might be Blue Monday tomorrow, but for us, it’ll be a white Monday…we’re getting upwards of 35 cm of snow.

I have no plans to be depressed tomorrow. We are already passed the shortest day of the year and heading towards the longest.

It’s all about attitude, folks. It’s just a day of the week that we can choose to make a sad day or a happy day.
