I’m in the process of cleaning out dad’s house. I found a 26er of Canadian Club. The seal ( 1957 ) is still intact. If I break the seal I won’t care about Obvious Man or FB or Twit.

How about doing something about those in the executive branch who are aiding and abetting those coming into this country illegally and surreptitiously transporting them by bus and airplanes to various parts of the country?

Social media sites and apps are strikingly similar to public restrooms. They were designed and built with good intentions but were not prepared to handle many of those who do not bother with proper use and aim, and everyone who visits is forced to witness such disgusting displays.

What “insurrection” is he talking about? Minneapolis? Seattle? I thought they were just “peaceful” protests.

The DOJ is moving deliberately against first the protesters, then the organizers and those in the Executive Branch who aided and abetted. But it would be quite a step for members of Congress, no matter how deserving, to be indicted and stand trial for insurrection. Can’t wait, though, for Trumpie to be hauled into court on these charges.

Sounds like Obviousman is hinting that there might be another Jan-6 event, maybe triggered by off the recent announcement that Nutter Buttercup plans to run again. Wonder if Ha’pence will show up too.

Hey now, let’s not, literally, kill the messenger. However, I’m thinking that Twitter, Facebook and others would be a lot more secure and more responsible if they required a fee and a credit card for each account.

In my opinion, social media is like a humongous room filled with users, with no windows, doors, or bathrooms, serving a continuous three-bean burrito buffet.

It didn’t replace failed means of communication, it created a cesspool with little or no means of maintaining common courtesy between users.

We communicated just fine before social media.

It’s really just all about money. Like illegal drugs. Hook ‘em, supply’ em, replace them when they die.

The supplier doesn’t care as long as the money rolls in.

The Trump hate is strong with this clown – typical leftist Fascist that wants to imprison over political dissent but excuses burning down cities as “peaceful protest”. But then go after Facebook and Twitter and leave out the one that is the most evil – Google. But hey, they only suppress the BAD guys, not our side, so they are good.

This isn’t a comic – it needs to be listed as an editorial opinion page material.

To be fair, Facebook and Twitter exist worldwide, but support for and denial of the January 6 insurrection is the stink pile which is consistently being fed by certain US politicians. Not even Pravda nor Russia Today would likely be promoting it without the Republicans in office pushing the false belief.

And to the people who can’t tell the difference between “a violent protest” and “a protest with violence”, and are echoing another Republican talking point of saying that the BLM protests were anything like the insurrection, try getting your facts straight first. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/10/16/this-summers-black-lives-matter-protesters-were-overwhelming-peaceful-our-research-finds/

I get your frustration.Social media presents the opportunity to become emotionally mature. Over time. Right now, at the beginning of this phenom, folks get to fling monkey dung. There is a promise of positive development over the long haul but not everybody wants to use their dung as growth fertilizer. All it takes is one person with a burr under their saddle to work a social media group into a lather over (pick an issue) and you don’t stand a chance in Hades of recovery. It is like giving a stone-age tribe access to heat-seeking missiles. Yeah, stone age.Social media is fresh from the egg, just not cooked yet. It takes social pain to drive change (yet the civil war is still not over for a lot of ignoranuses).I got the essence of the social media situation as soon as it was released. The abuse of public forums is not confined to social media, it goes back to the beginning of discourse. Hit Jesu pretty hard, ended His life. Not going to sign up for Shamebook or Dungogram or Twitter-pate or Splatify or …At least not until I see evidence of maturity. Like Jeffrey, still waiting…

I’m agree there are far to many ugly Americans being loud online, including on occasion, my self. Still, given that the Russians were spreading pro-Trump/anti-Clinton trash comments before the 2016 election, doesn’t anyone else wonder how much of he hate and misinformation is pushed by Purina cyber force. Yeah, I’m serious. He can win a physical war against the west, but he’s old KBG and dearly wants Russia “reunited” as a world power. Just look how Fox and the Make America Great crowd is kissing up to Putin and the Hungarian authoritarianism.
